Abstract

The coating machine (1) which coats the surfaces with different coating mass has a first nozzle (10) producing the first mass curtain (C1c) and a second nozzle (20) producing the second mass curtain (C2c). The two nozzles move freely between a standby position where they are spaced from one another into a coating position where they are connected to one another. In the standby position the masses can be collected up separately through the two receptacles (11,21) whilst in the coating position the two masses are formed as a double layer curtain deposited one above the other onto the surface of the paper web (Ws).
