The building board 1 can be provided with planking 4 on one or two sides, or the building board 1 is provided for immediate surface treatment, for example by wallpapering or plastering. Characterized in that the foam 7 is foamed into the folds of the perforated folding mechanism 2, a high strength of the building board 1 is achieved and any planking 4 provided is retained by the plastic foam. Through the openings 15 in the sheet metal that forms the folding mechanism 2, the foam 7 can extend through the folding mechanism 2, and an increased strength of the building board 1 is achieved. The narrow sides 10 of the building board 1 are profiled in opposite directions, so that building boards can be arranged side by side without joints. 5
