Abstract

El objeto de la invencion es un procedimiento para separar bioxido de azufre de gases quemados o de combustion, en que el gas quemado se le hace pasar agua de mar en una torre de absorcion. el colector de líquido de la torre de absorcion se ventila, con lo que los bisulfitos que se encuentran en el líquido se transforman en bisulfatos. El líquido se extrae del colector de líquido de la torre de absorcion, y con el de formar sulfatos y lograr la neutralizacion, se mezcla con agua de mar fresca en un deposito de reaccion posterior. Se mide el valor del pH del líquido extraído del colector de líquido de la torre de absorcion, y se determinan las desviaciones de los valores medidos del un valor nominal preestablecido dentro de la gama de pH comprendida entre pH 4.0 y pH 5. conforme a las desviaciones de los valores medidos, se regular, ya se un torrente adicional de agua de mar que se alimenta directamente al colector de líquido de lavado, o bien una corriente de líquido que se regresa desde el colector de líquido a al zona de absorcion de la torre de absorcion.
