Abstract

El propósito de la presente invención es proporcionar un dispositivo de control de transición de modo para un vehículo híbrido, que evita que se sobrecaliente un segundo sistema de generación de energía mientras viaja en un modo de HEV en serie. Cuando una batería (SOC) se encuentra a un valor de umbral de solicitud de generación de energía A o menor, el vehículo viaja en un ``modo de HEV en serie ´´ en el cual se utilizan como fuentes de accionamiento la energía eléctrica generada por un segundo motor eléctrico-generador (MG2) y un primer motor eléctrico-generador (MG1), al cual se suministra energía eléctrica desde una batería. El vehículo híbrido se proporciona con una unidad (23) de control de transmisión para realizar control de modo que el modo de viaje cambie a un ``modo de HEV paralelo´´ cuando la velocidad del vehículo (VSP) haya alcanzado una velocidad del vehículo de conmutación mientras viaja en el ``modo de HEV en serie´´. Cuando se predice un aumento en la temperatura del segundo sistema de generación de energía, incluyendo al segundo motor eléctrico-generador (MG2), mientras viaja en el ``modo de HEV en serie´´, la unidad (23) de control de transmisión cambia la velocidad del vehículo de conmutación a una segunda velocidad del vehículo de conmutación (VSP2) que es más lenta que una primera velocidad del vehículo de conmutación (VSP1) utilizada antes de la determinación del aumento de temperatura.
