Cereals play an important role in breakfast food. Over the years, different companies have come up with various types of cereals to make breakfast, the most important meal of the day, wholesome and fulfilling. One such type of cereal is “Fruit Loops” by Kellogg’s. The idea behind Fruit loops is not only to make breakfast wholesome but also fun and colourful. The bright colours in the milk bowl makes Fruit Loops an instant favourite among people of all ages, especially kids.

I have taken the concept of Fruit Loops and created a new fictional version of it called “Rainbow’s”, inspired by the seven colours of the rainbow. The idea behind this octagonal packaging is to represent the colours of the rainbow on it. 7 of the 8 sides of the box represent one colour of the rainbow. The 8th side opening to pour the cereal, which is of the same colour as the box (light blue).

The colours on the box has an additional utility as it serves an educational purpose. It can used as a wheel of colour to teach young children about the 7 colours which constitute a rainbow.
