Bikers reunion at a wedding...

In this life, we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love...” – Mother Teresa

(A small reunion of our bikers gang)

Today we attended a wedding reception in Dewan Dato Harun in Serendah, Selangor for Hj Long Zaini and Tuan Shamirul Afida's eldest son.

Many friends attended the wedding reception so it became a small reunion for the bikers gang. It was so great seeing them and touch base again. It has been too long since we last met. We were away most of the time, so we missed a few of the teh tarik sessions with them.

TTS of the Kanchanaburi gang......

“The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart...” – Elisabeth Foley

(The Kanchanaburi gang at Chon's wedding reception)

We attended a biker's friend wedding reception for his daughter at dewan RTC Gopeng, Perak.

It was also a reunion of our first biker group to ride together to Kanchanaburi in 2011. Today, we took a walk down memory lane and shared unforgettable, priceless moments. We aged with time and missed those moments of endless laughter, longest chats, and beautiful times.

Great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.

Two weddings weekend...

"Friendship means understanding, not agreement. It means forgiveness, not forgetting. It means the memories last, even the contact is lost..."

(Attending a wedding in Serendah)

This weekend we had two weddings to attend. The first was the wedding reception of one of a Masjid At-Tayyibin's qariah at his house in Taman Desa Melur, Serendah. We followed google maps' direction and nearly got lost in a Kampung Orang Asli Serendah when we took a wrong turn.

Another wedding was a wedding reception of an old colleague at a Pusat Komuniti Bukit Damansara. We got caught in a massive traffic jam because of the Thaipusam procession at Jalan Kuching heading towards Batu caves.

(A Wedding of a friend's daughter)

It was quite a hectic weekend.

We attended three weddings and had a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends who we have not met for a long time. By the time we went to the last wedding, it late in the afternoon and we were already full.

(The newly weds)

Today we attended one of our bikers' friend wedding in Palong 7, Negeri Sembilan. This is a second marriage for both the bride and bridegroom.

Lisa, Pali's late wife succumbed to Covid 19 a few years ago and left their small kids without a mother.

(The road signage to Pali's was covered with bushes)

Earlier we met a few friends for breakfast at Kodai Sarapan D'Sawah before we drove together to Pali's wedding. There was a large crowd having breakfast but we managed to get a table and had our nasi lemak and satay for breakfast.

Another Nephew's wedding...

(Iwan's family with the bride and bridegroom)

Marriage is about giving and taking
And forging and forsaking
Kissing and loving and pushing and shoving
Caring and Sharing and screaming and swearing
About being together whatever the weather
About being driven to the end of your tether
About Sweetness and kindness
And wisdom and blindness

(Congratulations!)

A Nephew's Wedding...

“I believe that nothing in life is unimportant. Every moment can be a beginning...” - John McLeod

(Danial Haziq and Nadia)

“May your love be firm,
And may your dream of a life together
be a river between two shores
by day bathed in sunlight, and by night
illuminated from within. May the heron
carry news of you to the heavens, and the salmon bring
the sea’s blue grace. May your twin thoughts spiral upward
like leafy vines, like fiddle strings in the wind,
and be as noble as the Douglas fir.
May you never find yourselves back to back
without love pulling you around
into each other’s arms.”
James Bertolino -
