Hi I just joined here yesterday and I was wondering: how do you do a blog post?

I'm trying to add a new custom block to a blog of mine, but it's not letting me. I type in the Title of the block, input what I wanted and clicked "Add custom content block" It reloaded the page, and nothing happens. I tried again, and still nothing. I've tried this with a couple of my blogs and it doesn't seem to work on any of them. I have a custom block on one blog, but I'm afraid of editing it incase it disappears. I'm running the newest Google Chrome on Win 7 Ultimate 64. I'm also able to add regular, predefined blocks, from the drop down menu, such as "Latest visitors" and the like. It's just the custom ones that don't seem to work.

Say you made a mistake when naming your blog. Can you change the name or is that pretty much the end of it? (Such as when you are first making the blog and it asks you to give it a name.) Forgive me if I've missed something obvious.

Hello everyone, After much consideration, I have decided to create a blog specifically dedicated to the progress of Fight Scene (MLP IRL). For those who want to keep up to date on the progress of this entry in the series, please make sure to follow this blog so you stay informed. As of today, I now have my brainstormed thoughts and ideas (which will expand when I continue adding more at random) on a Word document in order to keep myself organized instead of having random notes on different devices and sticky notes. Therefore, I'm still in the R&D (Research and Development) Stage, before I eventually get to the scripting stage. Stay tuned for more updates to come. - Jonathan "Jonny" Selimovic (Jonny Music)

Well almost. The title sums up what I was suppose to write at length so this will be short. The shortlist is during that time I graduated from College, applied and got employed. On the right track to become an HR Process Owner for IBM here in the Philippines in the next year or so. Took a turn and sought for companionship along the way. Haven't found that one person yet but a love life is a work-in-progress. Kinda lost my interest for Pony for a bit and mostly the brony crowd. But still interested in the fandom that I still came back to this forum after all these years so that must say something huh. Anyway if nobody even reads this it's alright. I'll still try to come back here from time to time and check out what you good people are talking about in every corner I walk myself into After all I'm still a big old loyal Rarity fan up in here

Well, chapter 2 is done, and waiting for proofreading! Now I'm about to start on chapter 3, and after yesterday I'm more than ready to work on a new chapter, what with all the corrections I had to make. For some reason I kept messing RD's dialog - and only hers - that's what was so weird about it, made her sound like she was drunk as hell lol! I mean we had such gems as, "We got fin te uters Rarity!" and lets not forget, "Don't Twilight worry! The cavalry are her!" and the ever memorable, Their Pinkie for it now in!". Seriously, I have NO idea why I couldn't RD with my writing on this one, though I got to admit, now I want to write a scene for Rainbow where she's completely b-snamered off her plot just for the s&g's . Also, because I'm going to have to write some none-English words at some point for my fic, I had to set up an English-international keyboard setting. Care to know how long that took?...2 hours and 44 minutes, of research, setting and resetting my computer, sobbing, screaming and cursing out every deity I could think, and just generally fighting with microsoft...again. I get into it with them at least once a month, and sadly I've got waaaayyyy to much stuff connected to their services to just drop them...and I think they know it, is the worst part, and all just so I could type this, "ö" witch let me tell you - even after all the work I did just to make typing that possible - involves the single most convoluted series of button-input combos just to type that one little letter, that I have ever seen IN MY LIFE, PERIOD!...so...yea...that was fun.... That's (hopefully) all behind me now, so its off to chapter 3 with me, see you next time!
-
Quick mini update, just a little left on chapter two! I've also just finished updating the prolog chapter with all the tweaks and corrections from proofreading! I may release a little teaser-esque thingy or something prior to publishing the first three chapters, so be on the lookout for that! Till next time!

blog Life log entry #1(02/28/18 - 09:50 PM)
CHA0SXIII posted a blog entry in The State of CHA0S(XIII)
Wellp - I'm done with winter. Thanks to the weather changing I'm so achy all over that I can't get to sleep and my sinuous issues aren't helping! Think I might get some writing done, hate wasting time just lying around in pain. If I can't get to sleep might as well accomplish something if possible, hopefully once the weather is clear I'll fell better. Sadly I live in Ohio USA, and when it comes to the weather here I saw it best described in a meme on facebook yesterday - Nature: "You can't have every season in one week!" Ohio: "*hic* Hold my beer!" - you might think that's a joke or an exaggeration but its NOT! One day it was in about the low 50's, the next day it was in the higher 70's, and the day after that we had a snow storm! Think Ohio might be bipolar with sociopathic tendencies. -
Hi all! I'm not really sure where to post this, so it sort of falls here as the least-disruptive option. It's not important news by any means, but I figure it might be interesting to see what I've been doing with regards to mlpforums. 2017-10-03: Set up a basic ubuntu VM in virtualbox. Downloaded ipboard (our forum software) from our Github, but couldn't get it running. With Feld0's help, however, I did manage to get the official, vanilla download sort-of running. (ipboard's documentation is really sparse.) 2017-10-07: Installed all the things. Configured nginx, installed mysql and some php extensions. Got the forum 'can it be installed' checker to come up green after some misunderstandings. It seems to want /var/www/html chmod'd to 777, but I gave it 664, which is slightly more secure, and ipboard accepted it. At this point, I realize I should have installed mariadb instead of mysql. It's too late however - after half an hour and gratuitous use of virtualbox's snapshot ability, I determine I can't uninstall mysql enough to install mariadb. 2017-10-11: Some configuration later, and I finally have a running copy of ipboard! Taking a chance, I unzipped the git copy of the forums overtop of it, and it Seems To Work™. Pushing my luck, I install a few extensions for the forum as well, and everything continues to work just fine. Spooky. 2017-10-18: Today, I started looking at installing the iAwards "application" for us. It seemed to be go fine in testing, after I upped my VM's Nginx's HTTP "POST" size limit. I also installed a few other applications, and upgraded my VM's version of IPS Communit Suite. (Which I think is ipboard? I'm not sure.) I'll hopefully have time to finish that up this weekend. Anyway, that's it for now! I hope to post updates here as things get on. Nothing important, just the day-to-day maintenance and sysadminnery that I'm doing behind the scenes. Please, comment, let me know if there's a better way to do what I'm doing, and – thanks for reading!

Hello this is your Master of Hugs typing at you, not so live, from the 4th story of a Dorm! I love science. I always have. There is something magical when the forces that control or shape our very existence are explained and understood. I created this blog with curiosity in mind. I want it to be sort of like a QA... If you are interested in a topic linked to science, please suggest it in the comments, and like other suggested topics. Popular topics, or ones I myself are very interested in will be discussed and explained in this blog. So yeah, please suggest topics!... I would love to know what my fellow Bronies/Pegasisters are curious about!

Pony Think Tank tackles "Celestial Advice and Bottled Up"
Malcontent posted a blog entry in Pony Think Tank
Hello all my new readers, and if they are still here, my old ones! Pony Think Tank today takes on the opening salvo of Season 7! I’ve been on a small hiatus as I work on Equestrian City, which is coming along slowly but solidly I might add, but I can’t pass up the opportunity to take a look at the premiere! This season, we aren’t dealing with a major issue that requires at least two episodes to fix, and I’m not sure if that is entirely good, but we’ll see as we dive head on into “Celestial Advice” Our cold opening is, surprise surprise, Starlight Glimmer, who seems to be the shifting focus of the series since the writers took Sunset Shimmer’s formula and shoved it into a cookie cutter We quickly find that the visual gags are more present than previous seasons so far, which I personally like, with Spike turning his (hair?) into Rarity’s facsimile. We’re then given the fact that we’re not that far off time was since last season, as a party and award ceremony is being planned for the Suicide Squad like team of Discord, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie and Thorax (who if you aren’t familiar with his new appearance, seems to have eat a box of crayons and burped.) Obviously Thorax needs more color as you can see. After the cringe worthy intro, we are greeted with the award ceremony where all our team is given the Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage (goodness that is a mouthful). The after party has the newly reformed changeling guests (minus the Queen, thankfully) mingling with the guests, as Twilight and Celestia exchange lines akin to the student has become the master and all that lovely cliche we’ve been hearing in our own heads for a bit. Not one to be happy about anything for too long, Twilight slowly begins to come to the realization that the lessons she has for her student no longer apply after the writing team seemingly power leveled Starlight to End Game content! Overcome with rapidly sprouting panic, she seeks out her teacher, Celestia, for advice on the matter while Discord seemingly invents a B story for himself, hyping up the announcement Twilight is going to make with gossip and clever manipulation. Spike’s demeanor is very much attuned to mine personally, each of his lines seems to be for the fans at this moment, most with good humored sarcasm, some with biting cynicism. I approve. "None of these have me saying more then four or five lines. SPIKE! Bring me the writers!" As Twilight comes to the conclusion that she needs to follow in Celestia’s footsteps and send HER prize student away, all of which she does without really, any help from Celestia, we come to a chapter break! Continuing to solve her own problem with the people she has for advice simply watching and, well not really helping per say, we’re given a new spell, this one seems to be a Holodeck spell, where Twilight starts us down the road of my favorite two words: What If? Arriving at the first stop on what turns into a neurotic spiral into worry, Twilight’s first stop is what if she sends her to the new Changling empire! We quickly find out, based on Twilight’s totally subjective thinking, that the lessons she teaches to the newly reformed critters will be taken in stride and all will be, well, boring and forced. Much like the first and second season. Just as all seems well, worry hits her and the scenario changes to what seems more likely with a giant hive mind that's suddenly allowed free thought: mischief. Snapping out of it we dive into another idea, which to me all sound like story pitches that were flat out rejected, where she's sent to the dragons and becomes, shall we say, epic friends, with Ember. (You remember her right? We saw her once, everyone free ships with her and Spike, and then we lost her just as quick) A quick dive into madness and lava later and Twilight is back to square one with her imagination getting the better of her. The final treat we get is what almost seems natural to me, but then again what do I know, in that we send her to the crystal Empire to “study” with Sunburst. This one holds the most interest when a spell goes wrong and they summon a black hole of sorts and everyone seemingly dies. I do enjoy the idea that the spell was to summon something lost in the past, makes one wonder. So after all that Twilight almost has a break down, and Celestia, as well as the rest of the random I'd imagine, begins to laugh at Twilight. After explaining she's not laughing at her she's laughing...well no she is kind of laughing at her, Celestia sits her former student down and relates that she too had all these years in her head, proving to us Celestia is human after all. So to speak. "You...actually thought..you'd be the leads forever? Even I was sidelined! Thats hilarious!" In the interlude, as Discord, in a scene that really seems to me on a subtle level is the rest of the Mane 6 asking each other why they aren't in this episode, hyped up more around the kingdom until Twilight is greeted with a over anticipated reveal. This seems like the writers again making light of the fact “hey, we've really got nothing epic this time out the box.” "You see girls, you've been moved into what they are calling Background Ponies" The rest plays out rather quickly, but it all boils down to the lesson we learn is that, well if You Love Something, let it go. Which is landmark I might add because Celestia is the first in the series to really express the term ‘Love’ in the sense of a deeper emotion and have it mean something. As the episode winds down, Starlight is thrilled to be graduating, but doesn't end up leaving the show...I mean the Castle because she doesn't want to. Thus breaking us from the formula we all thought was destined to happen. Overall I find this episode is a 5 out of 10. Average. The Celestia section is the only saving grace, as the B story is almost an afterthought. Spike’s overhaul as the straight man is by far more evident this time and is a welcome change from being the comedic foil for the most part. It’s a good start, not a disaster, but there’s room for improvement. We dive right into episode 2, “Bottled Up” We’re given another episode where our favorite up and coming ship, StarTrix, opens the show. Greeted by Trixie’s inability to use proper magic, she’s given a quick tip by the one person who knows how to misuse magic, and quickly turns a salt shaker into a teacup. Why? You got me. Still, Trixie’s ability to go overboard with it makes me chuckle as we quickly end up with way way way too many teacups, including a teacup poodle! Full of herself as usual, Trixie annoys Starlight to the point she starts to manifest a dark cloud of..well...dark side energy. Set with the pieces of this episode, we are quickly thrust into the opening song many of us turn down to prevent embarrassment at work Starlight is not amused! Coming back from commercial, Starlight and Trixie see our Mane 6 heroes, who seem to be slipping into the backseat of the entire show I might add, off to their Friendship Retreat. Whats a Friendship Retreat you ask? I know I did immediately after it was said, and just as quick, we’re given the explanation most would THINK was the proper one. We find out that's only half right later on as our two stories divide and our adventure begin! "Bye, Twilight! We'll take good care of your show!" Back at the castle, Trixie and Starlight begin her next lesson, and letting Trixie pick, we find is the worst idea so far. She immediately wants a hard spell: teleportation! Spike, who like the audience, seems to see where this is going, decides to run off before he’s used as the subject of the spell. An interesting point Starlight makes is that her magic is based on her emotions at the time, which just screams Jedi and Sith, but I think is a nice element we can exploit down the road, or later in the episode, as we’ll see. You have Hate. You have Anger. But you do not USE THEM! The B story, a little weak as last time, switches us to our Mane 6, who quickly find out the Twilight’s Friendship Retreat is not a Spa, but a locked room that focuses on teamwork far more brain twisting then simply doing the Trust Exercise. The narrative feels at this point, very expedited I might add. Meanwhile back at the ranch er I mean castle, Trixie eventually goes off half cocked and ends up losing the entire Cutie Map! Thus answering the question how you lose an entire giant magic table many of us were asking after the leaks. Starlight has a minor stroke of course and panics. Quickly becoming upset with Trixie’s ho hum approach, Starlight realizes her anger is manifesting itself in the form of the red cloud. Of course the smartest thing to do is to cast a spell to bottle up her emotion (and we get the title of the episode...ta da!) Spinning back to the Mane 6 story and the StarTrix story happens far far too quickly again, though it seems only to do so to exploit a transition device as clever as using the last line of the scene to contrast or satirize the opening line of the next. The basic overall plot reveals that Starlight is afraid of losing Trixie as a friend if she doesn't bottle her anger up, which is why she gets weaker and weaker the more they search for the table in the places Trixie leads to to find. Each successful bottling of the emotion takes it’s toll on Starlight, much like it does in real life, thus and applicable lesson! "Even THIS comic has better pacing!" Of course the Mane 6 break into song after they solve their problems, and a very appropriate character tells them the consequences of having broken into song may not have been worth it. I enjoyed that line the most out of the entire episode incidentally. Back to the StarTrix plot (heh) Trixie eventually notices the magic being bottled up and tries to find out what it’s all about. The ensuing tug of war sends the bottle flying up and down, shattering it and releasing the anger into nearby citizens, all of whom become angry at Trixie for different reasons reflectance of the moments in time Starlight was angry. "Don't worry girls, the writers told me next episode *I* have a major part!" We spiral towards the end of the episode with a quick realization by Starlight that Trixie had no idea how she felt, as she bottled it up inside. Trixie as well admits that as difficult they were to hear, she needed to hear the anger to fully grasp Starlight’s feelings. Again, we use the term ‘Love’ by Trixie to Starlight which let me tell you, probably has the entire shipping world in an overdrive mode. I can hear the lemons being written as I type this. "Did...did you say you Loved me?" All in all I give this a 5 out of 10. The first thing that stuck out to me was they recycled footage DURING the song that was as even pointed out by the writers, unneeded. I find that concerning. Trixie is fun in moderation, as is Starlight Glimmer, I can only hope we aren’t entirely shifting gears to the next generation to a point we lose our footing on what made the show fun to begin with. Thanks for stopping by and don't be shy to make a comment!- 1 comment

Review of the remaining Dc Comics Home Computer Games.
Moony the Cat posted a blog entry in Dune_Gosbil's Blog
Since i started this Review Thing, i guess i just finish my Review of the early Dc Comics Video Games. Here is a quick overview of the first Games in order : Superman - Atari 2600 Superman 3 - Atari 800 ( unreleased ) Superman : The Game - Various Home Computer Formats Batman - Various Home Computer Formats Batman : The Caped Crusader - Various Home Computer Formats Superman - Nes Sunman - Nes ( originally planned as a Superman Game, but they couldnt get the license for the Character, so the game was changed, but never released regardless, planned release date was around 1992, so this Game is not in order in this List, but it was never released and its the last Superman game for Nes, so i just played it after the first one, before moving on to the Batman Games for Nes ) ( alright, my Blog is glitched again and i cant change Color anymore...FIX YOUR FORUMS!! Uhhhh...i mean....if you want to... ) Superman - Arcade Superman : The Man Of Steel - Various Home Computer Formats Batman : The Movie - Various Home Computer Formats So, my last Review was about Batman - The Caped Crusader, so lets move on to Superman for the Nes. Okay, i finally got out of the Glitch... So, Superman on the Nes is a Chibi Style Superman Game, in which a lot of the Characters are potrayed in cute Chibi Forms. ( probably because this is a Japanese Game....okay sorry, that was kinda racist... ) Its a cute Game sure, but confusing. At the Start you can go to pretty much all the Levels at once, even though you arent supposed to, since you have to do some Missions in order. So, i was running around, dying, because i couldnt figure out what to do. You can talk to People though, so thats nice. But in the End, i just died a lot, because sometimes you have to talk to certain People, or else some Events dont take Place. So, i was running around aimlessly and died. Also this game has a lot of backtracking. And a lot of Super Powers you can use, by collecting Items to get Energy for the Super Powers. There are even Zombies in the Game and apparently this game is based on the Christopher Reeves Movies, since the Japanese Version, has the Theme Song of the Movies. It was an interesting Game but in the end, i just watched a Playtrough. Also this Game was not released in the Pal Region, so without the Internet, i wouldnt even be able to play it. And i cant play really well with a Keyboard. So, next one, Sunman ! It looks like a fun beat um up, with superior Graphics to the first Nes Game, it seems to have better Controls, better Character Designs and cooler looking Enemys. I wish i could have played it...but it was never released. And as i said earlier, i cant play with Keyboard Controls. Superman for the Arcade is great ! Even better Graphics, another fun beat em up, with a lot of Action ! But again, only released on Arcades and on the Internet....and only Keyboard Controls. I mean, i could buy me a Pc Controller...but i wont. ( yeah, i know, i dont make any sense ) Superman - The Man of Steel...well, first off, its great that this Game has real Cut Scenes which look like Comic Books and also good Graphics. The Levels have a lot of Variety and i liked what i saw. And last, Batman - The Movie. Good Graphics, better Gameplay than the first two Batman Games and i actually know, what i had to do. ( not like in Batman - The Caped Crusader, where the Puzzles are a little cryptic. ) So, thats it. Now comes the Nes Generation of Dc Comics Games. I think we are done, with the Home Computer Ones. YAY ! If i forgot a Game, please tell me. I hope you enjoyed this useless Review. By-bye! -
My first blog on these forums. *Note: I posted this on my FimFiction account as well. After what happened in the U.S. this past Tuesday, I've been seeing some ugly truths regarding this fandom coming out from the shadows on several sites including this one. I've been a brony for just over three years now and I believed the fandom was one where everyone no matter their gender, race, political view, sexual orientation, etc. could co-exist together. I see now that that fact might have been a bit presumptuous on my part. I've no intention of leaving this fandom but I can no longer view it with the eyes of ignorance. I am so hoping that bronies don't tear each other apart over what happened because of certain differences, and while some might think I'm overthinking things, my heart knows that I'm right. I'm willing to be tolerant but there is only so much that I can take before it's too much. Do I care about who voted for who? No. Do I care about their reasoning behind their choice? Yes. Am I being soft-spoken about all of this? Probably and I might be condemned for it, but I'll let the pieces fall where they may. I just wanted to state my thoughts on the fandom and how I'm questioning some things based on what happened. You needn't take my opinion seriously if you don't want to.

First Blog That Makes Some Sense
The Diver posted a blog entry in The Blog of a Deep-Sea Diver. Log Whatever...
What's up guys?! Name's Charles and I'm a Deep-Sea Diver (that works inland. Lulz). This is my first blog so I don't expect you guys to read this but I don't care because I have rights! RIGHTZ!!! :-P Today we did some basic storm cleanup in Lake Washington up in "beautiful" Seattle, WA working on some stray tree trunk cleanup (as much as we can get. Not much happened up here really. Lol). Mostly it was just hydraulic chainsaw work and survey ops but it was simple work pretty much. Dived the somewhat-new Kirby Morgan 97 Superlite today (by "light", I mean around 35lbs. ) and the regulator was a real b**** but it did the job well I guess. I'm more of a fan of the 37 Stainless Steel but we dive what we dive. :/ Just so ponies know, we DO NOT dive the old Mark V as seen in the picture!!! We get trained in them but those things are old and useless compared to our modern-day dive hats (we call them "hats", not "helmets" you little smurfs!". Unless you work in San Francisco, we rarely use those things. I nearly blew my eardrums in one of those b******* and I continue to despise them. I don't know what else to say since this is my first ever blog I've ever written (thank Celestia for you all that I'm not writing a fanfiction.) but I love all of you and I don't actually know why I'm typing this. Wow, feels like forever since I've told an actual story! This one's new, and in fact, during my hiatus. I told you it'd come in handy! I haven't really told anyone this, but I'm a big fan of Creepypastas. I love them! They're like the next level of horror material, and if done correctly, can be used to keep you on your toes for the next week! But there's a problem (there always is) I have somewhat of a "sanity meter" built into my mind. If I listen to too many readings, I become scared of the world around me. Even if I know it's fake, or there's no way the events described are possible, I'm still terrified of my own shadow. So I established a "three-fiction" rule (I only listen to three a night, if desired). But of course, I'm an idiot and wish to listen to as many as I want. Rest in peace, sanity. This "sanity meter" is nothing new. I've had it long before I became a brony. The catch is that I listen to, and read, things that are related to what I like, and at the moment, that means ponies. So OF COURSE I'm going to listen to some PonyPastas! Yeah, that was a bad idea. I was on the Ponyville.FM when I found out Scribbler was doing a reading on, "Does it Hurt to Sleep?", a rather well done fiction. Anyway, the video was about a day old and I was curious. As I explained above, I'm a sucker for that sort of thing, so I decided to give it a shot. Like I said, it was very well written and somewhat believable. Of course, there was a bit of descriptive issues near the end, but that's all fine and dandy when you've got a reader building up the atmosphere. When the first story came to a close, I was intrigued to listen to another, then another. Finally, I stumbled across psychological horror fiction by the name of, "The Hole in My Face" Now, normally I'd laugh at something like this, and I did; but it really got in my head after a while. The bad part about this? It starred Applejack, my fiance. (If you don't get that joke, look back for a previous blog entry, "Telling My Brother How Unworthy I Am". I still don't know where that ring is going to go. . . anal rings) Let's just say, after the creepypasta, I didn't feel myself. I went to bed and stared at my AJ plush for more than an hour. For some reason, I couldn't quite get the thought out of my head. Her face was as plush and cute as usual, but what if it was an illusion like the story described. I touched it just to make sure. My insanity lasted a good three days. I couldn't think, or bear to look, at my fiance for as long as there was day. No, I didn't have nightmares. If I did, I'd put them down, but I think that's a good story for another time. Lesson of the day is to not read sp00ky stories without adult suppervision (see what I did there? The title's name has "Dinner" and the ending lesson has "Supper" ( ͡º ͜ʖ͡º) ) -RealityPublishing

The world's not ending, people.
Ziggy + Angel + Rain posted a blog entry in The Professional Layabout
It was a bummer to see Jeric go; he was one of the good ones. Like, a genuinely good guy. And yeah, he stirred some things up, but they were things that clearly needed stirring. But I'm not going to get any further into all that. The world's not ending; it's not. When it comes down to it, this is just a forum on the internets. You made friends here? Had some good times? Great: None of that is magically undone. Keep in touch; PM your pals and get their Skype or e-mail or what have you and drop them a line sometime. "But I can't talk ponies anywhere else." Yes you can, you goober. MLP:FIM isn't a new thing anymore, and it was never something that warranted being all closeted about it. IM some ponyfans, sport a pony ava on Facebook, or pursue alternatives to MLPF. And FYI: Many of the really cool people either left or hit the mute button at MLPF a billion years ago. The site's been on the decline and had its issues for a while now; this was just things coming to a head. Either hang around and keep posting in the fan clubs or forum games or move on - and meet up someplace else. Things'll be all right. -
Okay...so people love to ship ponies with other ponies. I love to ship ponies like Twidash, Flutterpie, Rarijack, Etc. Many people have a problem with me shipping that because...they're girls. People have a problem with me shipping girls together. People always say "Yuck, they're both girls!" Or "Ew thats gay....nasty!" What I wonder does it matter. I mean seriously it is a cute, magical, fictional, fantasy, show...STOP IT! Does it matter what people ship they're are not doing anything wrong so stop picking on them! It's sad that people get some angry over sonething like that. But I can ship who I want to ship! I have rights.
