    High Plains Drifter

he actually painted the town red. in his first movie directing a western he completely flips the trope of him being the hero and creates an ambiguous, dark thing that we've never seen before. fuelled by something, to prove the cowardliness of the town, or something deeper. he’s almost supernatural, but his witty humour makes it impossible not to adore. he's a shitty person and its fitted with some beautiful imagery of the burning red town, really, really liked this.

i think transformers might have the worst continuation of lore out of any franchise ever. in saying that, this was kinda cold, enjoyed it more than i thought i would. a strong lead in anthony ramos who hit all the emotional beats when necessary, and was bad ass too. loved the relationship with mirage, who was a refreshing autobot with some much necessary personality. cool aesthetic throughout, especially in peru, enjoyed the villain quite a bit, scurge established himself as…

when brad pitt opened his mouth, that is the last fucking sound i expected to come out. completely crazy, unhinged, hilarious, impossible to understand. the way the storylines converge has got to be some of the funniest shit out there. this is an amazing script, every line of dialogue is a one liner and some elite trunk shots. literally is the english pulp fiction.
shut up and sit down you big bald fuck.

  • The Pale Blue Eye

    The Pale Blue Eye

    ★★★★

great film, really really liked it. give me detective period piece starring christian bale and i'm locked in. a close intimate setting in the new york hills, that i immediately grew to love, some fantastic production and costumes and great performances, especially harry meling who was brilliant as e.a.p.. bale again steals the show, my favourite actor for a reason, so compelling and carries what could be a stale narrative to what unravelled to be a really interesting, mystical, revenge story. beginning to quite like the cooper x bale relationship and considering most netflix films are ass, this was really good!

a fantastic film. a ridley scott religious epic for the ages. a visually pleasing period piece, with some striking scenes that exemplify the pointlessness in the art of war at time. very lawrence arabia influenced here, as we follow a young man who struggles with the conflicts of what he believes to be right and what god wills him to do.
there will be a day we’re you’ll wish you had done a little evil for the greater good.

NAHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK. this was absolutely fucking insane, and where has it been my whole life. this might just be the sauciest film of all time. and i am not being hyperbolic when i say, this has the greatest action sequences i have ever seen in any film ever. that puppy shootout is quite possibly the greatest scene ever made. this film had me from the start, lights out, cold shootouts, a crazy unique and cool concept of hunting…

  • Joe Kidd

    Joe Kidd

    ★★★

solid movie. short and fun, clint eastwood bad ass as always, alongside with robert duvall, should've been better, but was still decent. had some real funny moments with the jug of water, ramon walking into the cow paddock, and that train crash was epic. and that final kill was so cool.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

comfort. i think this is such a perfect epliogue for the events that ocurred in the goblet of fire. harry trying to deal with the trauma of facing voldemort, seeing his face everywhere, having him invade his thoughts, but also dealing with the loss of cedric, all the while, no one believes him as he secludes himself and shuts himself away from his friends. but then finding solace in the one family he has left in sirius, and i love…

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

    ★★★★★

i think i lied, i think this might still be my favourite one. i defintely have the most attachment to this movie out of any other potter. my first sexual awakening seeing hermione in that pink dress, my first nightmare seeing peter pettigrew in the graveyard and just trying to be harry potter in real life, based on this movie in particular. it is just so amazing, the score is my favourite one, that distinct sense of incoming dread and…

i’m dead inside. todd phillips what did you just do.
look at how they massacred my boy.
i was ready to give this a 4 after the first 90 minutes. replicated the tone of the first with the addition of lady gaga and some good singing and musical moments, not the greatest, more missed than bit, but it was the point. joker expressing his fantasy in real life, which was really great, UNTIL THEY FUCKEN RUINED IT AND MADE IT…
