Back Testing STS Casino: What Prevented Our Reviewer from Cashing Out via Paysafecard?

It Wasn’t One of Those “Third Time’s A Charm” Situations

Different players prefer different payment options. That’s why we strive to test as many versatile methods while investigating online casinos under our “From the Players for the Players” project. After many tests involving Bitcoin, Trustly, and various cards, we wanted to check how Paysafecard, a prepaid online payment method based on vouchers, performs as a preferred choice at non-US-friendly STS Casino.

Our tester, already a registered member of this platform, paid a visit and funded the account. Having explored multiple games, and uploaded documents to verify his identity, he made a withdrawal request.

Before diving deeper into the details, take a look at the highlighting moments of his journey:

  • Tester of the day: Punakontti
  • Registration date: Already a member (registered in 2021)
  • Deposit made on December 14, 2022, EUR 200 via Paysafecard
  • KYC documents uploaded on December 14, 2022- utility bill, passport, and payment method screenshots
  • Three unsuccessful attempts to cash out via Paysafecard (2 times on December 16 and again a day later)
  • Withdrawal of EUR 50 via Skrill requested and received on December 17, 2022

If things were to judge by milestone moments of the investigation, it seems as if it was quite a smooth ride for our tester. Yet, a detail that captures the attention is that he used Skrill to cash out, a method different than the one he opted for when funding the account.

Was it his intention or something prevented him from withdrawing via Paysafecard? What follows is a comprehensive STS Casino test report, so keep reading to find out what actually happened!

STS Casino Overview

Licensed by the relevant regulator of Estonia, STS Casino belongs to STS Gaming Group, a corporation that describes itself as the market leader in the online gaming industry in Eastern Central Europe. Equipped with live chat and e-mail support and a solid assortment of payment methods, the platform is mainly focused on players from Finland.

Its wealthy portfolio accommodates a multiverse of products ranging from sports betting, and virtual sports betting, to casino, and live casino. Play’N GO, Pragmatic Play, Relax Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, G Games, and ELK Studios are just some of the many suppliers the operator is teamed up with.

Registration

Our tester was already a registered member of this platform, so there was no need to go through the sign-up process on this occasion. He signed up on May 19, 2021.

To join, a player is required to fill in a simple form.

Deposit

This time, the tester wanted to see how Paysafecard works for deposits in online casinos. To use this payment method, a player needs to purchase the codes first. Our tester did so in the local grocery store and loaded them to “Mypaysafecard” online.

So, when accessing the cashier, he entered the desired amount and selected this banking option to add funds to his casino balance.

The tester was then transferred to his Paysafecard account to log in and confirm his intention to make a deposit. He verified the transaction via a code he received on his mobile phone, and within a minute, the process was completed.

An e-mail from Paysafecard arrived as well, confirming that the transaction was successful.

On December 14, 2022, the tester successfully deposited EUR 200 using Paysafecard.

To replenish the account, players can use Trustly, Euteller, VISA, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Cryptopay, and Paysafecard. The minimum amount to deposit is EUR 10, while the daily maximum (24 hours) amounts to EUR 30,000.

Gameplay and ID Verification

The first game the tester played is an adventure that seems to be among his favorites- Bonanza Megaways by Big Time Gaming. After that, he checked out Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead where he scored EUR 22.40, and Legacy of Dead.

Having played a couple of games, the tester decided to complete KYC, as he hasn’t done so on any previous occasion. He uploaded the utility bill, passport, and payment method screenshots on December 14, 2022.

Following this, he returned to the lobby to continue playing games. He tried luck with Pizza! Pizza? Pizza! with a reel grid shaped like a pizza slice, and then launched Pearl Harbor.

A day later, on December 15, 2022, he started his gaming session with Big Top Bonanza Megaways where he triggered a big win of EUR 37.76.

His next choice was Dork Unit and Net Gains, after which he played Immortal Romance, Book of Mrs. Claus, and Volatile Vikings 2 Dream Drop. Megaways Mob and Wild Yield were the last ones he launched.

Before initiating a withdrawal, the tester wanted to make sure KYC went well. No e-mail arrived to confirm the ID verification was completed successfully, so the tester decided to reach out to the support team on December 15, 2022.

As far as the agent noted, the tester’s documents weren’t verified yet. She also added that according to the Terms, the ID verification may take up to 72 hours, pointing out that the operator usually sends no emails to confirm that the process is completed. However, she did clarify that once the documents are accepted, they are marked in green in “My Profile » Required Documents”.

The tester checked the section during the chat, noticing the green tick symbol next to the uploaded documents.

Withdrawal

On December 16, 2022, the tester intended to withdraw using Paysafecard. However, upon entering the desired amount, he received a notification that there was an error with the transaction.

To check what caused this inconvenience, the tester reached out to the customer support team via live chat, explaining the situation. He pointed out that the wrong e-mail address was linked to his Paysafe account, which, he assumed, might have caused the troubles.

(Author’s note:The tester’s e-mail address for Paysafecard and the one he used to register are not the same.)

In the meantime, the tester changed his e-mail address on Paysafecard to match the one on the casino, but he was still unable to cash out. The “error on cashout” appeared this time as well. Once again, he contacted the support department.

The agent asked the tester to provide the screenshot of the error, and so he did.

A day later, on December 17, 2022, the tester tried to cash out via Paysafecard one more time, but also without success. As no response arrived to explain why was he unable to withdraw once his address was changed, he decided to try his luck with a different payment option.

The tester made a request to cash out EUR 50 via Skrill.

A notification arrived after a couple of seconds, informing him that the request was successfully submitted.

The money arrived on the same day, December 17, 2022.

To withdraw money, players can use VISA, MasterCard, Skrill, or Paysafecard. The minimum amount to cash out is EUR 10. As for the maximum withdrawal amount per day (24 hours) should not exceed EUR 30,000 or 3 separate withdrawal transactions.

Once the request is submitted, it takes 3 business days to process it, but the operator will put effort to complete the procedure immediately. All deposits need to be wagered at least once, otherwise, a 5% administrative fee will be applied.

Conclusion

Our tester eventually managed to withdraw funds but using a method different than the one he initially intended to.

There’s no doubt that this platform has an excellent support department with professional and efficient chat agents, yet the tester received no explanation as to why he couldn’t use Paysafecard even after changing the e-mail address.

Other than this minor inconvenience, no other issues appeared during the investigation.
