Kid Made Hermit Crabs

Image
I am still recovering from this flu, I would like to thank everyone for their get well wishes. I hope by this week I am back to normal. My kids and I did do this great craft today. I loved it, it turned out so well and it was so easy. Hermit Crabs You will need: Jumbo Pasta Shells, Large Pom-Poms, wiggly eyes, paint, paint brushes, glue and pipe stem cleaners. 1. Decorate the pasta shell. Allow time for paint to dry. Glue large pom-pom inside the shell. Glue on eyes. Fold up pipstem cleaners to make them thicker for the pinchers. Glue the pinchers between the pompom and the shell. You can put your crab on a paper plate with some sand or sit on some sand paper. We put one of ours in a bug cage.

Spring Craft- Flower Fence

Image
Hello everyone. I am sorry I have not been around lately, I got hit with some flu like thing. Yuck!! I spend 1/2 my kid's Spring Break in bed. But I did manage to do this one craft today. Yeah, Spring is coming. Today was nice enough to open up the windows, so I thought we would do a Spring craft. You will need: scissors, glue, paint brushes, white paint, pipe stem cleaners, foam pieces, pom-poms, and craft sticks. First, paint craft sticks white. Allow to dry. Do a thin coat so that way the paint will dry faster. It is suppose to look like a fence, so if some wood shows through, that is O.K. Glue sticks together in a fence pattern. Cut out petals from foam pieces. I used 5 to 6 petals for each flower. Cut out 3 leaves, same shape as petals. For the stems I cut out thin strips of foam, but pipe stem cleaners would work great too. Glue on petals, stems, leaves and pom-poms. Then glue each end of pipe stem cleaner to the back and shape into a triangle. This one is Colton's. This o...

Bunny Pancakes

Image
I have made Santa Pancakes and I have made Snowman Pancakes, so I thought I would make Easter Bunny Pancakes. So here is what I came up with. Ingredients: Pancakes, bananas, jelly beans, cow tails (cut in 1/4's), and marshmallows. I have some new readers so I thought I would share my Santa and snowman pancakes. I love them, especially the Santa.

Paper Bag Crafts and More Easter Crafts

Image
First, I am going to start with this cute paper bag bunny I saw in an old Family Fun Magazine. You will need a small paper bag (white or brown), construction paper, scissors, glue, pom-pom, pipestem cleaners, ruler, and wiggly eyes. Make a " U " shape cute about 4 inches down in the center of the bag. Then cut the side of the bags out, about 4 inches down. Decorate the face. Then glue the front of the ears down to the back inside the bag. You can leave the ears up or glue them forward. These are Colton and Cheyanne's bunnies. Cheyanne has the puppet bunny. Cut 2 holes on the top of the bag, to place fingers through to make bunny ears. And decorate the face. We also made an elephant and puppies. This is probably my last Easter craft for the season. I like this cute little chick made with Cheyanne's traced hand.

Easy, Easy Coasters

This is an easy craft for almost any age. And it can be a good boy or girl craft depending on what colors you use. You will need: glue, beads and a lid to a frosting container. Pour glue all over inside of lid. Place beads in the glue. Here is Colton's coaster. This one is Cheyanne's.
