Post-Doc in Education (Entrepreneurship) from Porto University, PhD in Education (Entrepreneurship) from Santiago de Compostela University, and Degree in International Relations and Cooperation from Fernando Pessoa University. Doctoral student in Economics and Business at the University Santiago de Compostela.
He is Senior Professor at ISLA - Instituto Politécnico de Gestão e Tecnologia (ISLA-IPGT) where he Leads the Business and Innovation LAB (BIL), and Visiting Senior Professor at ISCAP -P.Porto (Instituto Politécnico do Porto), where he is the coordinator of the Postgraduate course in Business Creation and Development and the Postgraduate course in Science, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
He is a researcher, member of the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) and the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic of Porto (CEOS.PP), both from ISCAP -P.Porto and also a member of the Research Centre of ISLA-IPGT. Participates regularly in international scientific conferences, presenting papers and as a scientific committee member. He is an Editor and Reviewer of scientific journals.
He is a founding member of the international project SHINE - Scaling Higher Education Innovation for Europe (https://shine-project.eu/). He is recognized as EntreComp Practitioner by EntreCompEurope, a project co-funded by the COSME program of the European Union and Early Warning Europe Mentor He is certified as Senior Marketer with a specialization in Academy by APPM - Portuguese Association of Marketing Professionals. He is a certified business coach by the European Coaching Association (ECA), mentor, management consultant, and certified trainer (IEFP and CCPFC) in Entrepreneurship and Management. He is a certified trainer of trainers and teachers (Entrepreneurship). He participates regularly as a speaker in seminars and conferences and also as a jury member in idea competitions.

preparar, desde cedo, os indivíduos para se tornarem cidadãos activos e integrados na comunidade, contribuindo assim para uma maior coesão social e para o desenvolvimento local e nacional.
Neste artigo apresentamos um estudo que nos encontramos a realizar sobre a participação dos estudantes da Universidade Metodista de Unida de Moçambique em actividades na comunidade, na província de Inhambane, através da aplicação de um questionário. Tomamos como referência para este trabalho as iniciativas em que participam, assim como aquelas que lançam a partir das necessidades por eles encontradas. Entendemos que os indivíduos devem ser preparados, desde tenra idade, para serem cidadãos activos, conscientes do papel que pretendem exercer não apenas no mundo laboral, mas também, e fundamentalmente na comunidade onde estão inseridos, através da sua participação como protagonistas de uma sociedade que procuram desenvolver. Com este propósito, a Educação para a Cidadania deve contemplar o empreendedorismo, partindo do seu conceito mais abrangente que pressupõe que possa ser aplicado a todas as dimensões da vida do cidadão, no seu desenvolvimento pessoal e participação activa na comunidade. A Educação para o Empreendedorismo poderá dar um subsídio relevante para a Educação para a Cidadania atingir os seus objectivos, através do desenvolvimento de competências empreendedoras como: a criatividade, o espírito de iniciativa, o trabalho em equipa, o aprender-fazendo, a motivação e perseverança, a mobilização de recursos, entre outras, que resultem na promoção de iniciativas culturais, sociais, comerciais ou ambientais.
Pretendemos com os resultados deste trabalho conhecer as práticas de exercício de cidadania, com tudo o que pode beneficiar o desenvolvimento das pessoas e da comunidade. É ainda objectivo, deste trabalho lançar pistas para potenciais projectos de desenvolvimento que possam resultar em propostas de adaptação e/ou alteração dos programas curriculares ou mesmo do processo de ensino-aprendizagem.
Centra-se na criação de um modelo de Educação em Empreendedorismo no espaço académico do Ensino Superior, recorrendo a uma metodologia quantitativa, tendo como técnica para a recolha de dados a aplicação de um questionário dirigido aos nossos estudantes de Licenciatura e Mestrado, no ano lectivo de 2017/18, contemplando unidades curriculares de empreendedorismo ou de temas próximos e directamente relacionados, de várias instituições de Ensino Superior. O alvo de referência, que procuramos conhecer é a opinião e a avaliação dos estudantes, relativamente ao modelo de Educação em
Empreendedorismo implementado, a observação, do seu consequente envolvimento nas aulas, em actividades práticas e no desenvolvimento de projectos. O enquadramento teórico efectuado, sustentado pela revisão bibliográfica, é reforçado pela análise dos dados recolhidos, validando o modelo e contribuindo para a sua melhoria. Partimos daí para lançar pistas para futuros trabalhos de investigação que permitam a utilização do modelo devidamente adaptado a programas de outras unidades curriculares das várias áreas do conhecimento ao nível do Ensino Superior.
Entrepreneurship was previously the subject of study but won its place and its status as a discipline in the twentieth century. Being widely accepted nowadays the importance of entrepreneurship, the study and research on the topic, however, is relatively recent. The entrepreneurship education has expanded and intensified in recent decades at a considerable pace.
We pretend to identify the type of action we feel is urgent trigger persistent and systematic way – entrepreneurship education – where an attitude of improvement, a more comprehensive and consolidated view. In our opinion, entrepreneurship education creates by its nature and by the consolidation already achieved an educational culture that perceives knowledge in a transformative and evolutionary dynamics in constant adaptation and therefore, innovative, demanding efficiency and effectiveness in rebuilding knowledge of the squad in its reorganization and adaptation, triggering a new conception of learning addressed contextualized, active and activating generating sustainability. We look for an entrepreneurial attitude either in formal education either in informal, non-formal, i.e., in all situations – long wide – and at all times of life – long life –; the purpose of the project is sustainability and not entrepreneurship by itself, striving therefore to higher education sustainability.

It will also present the case study of a Portuguese company, Consumers Trust, better known in Portugal as “O Portal da Queixa.” Qualitative research will be undertaken using interview and content analysis. Its main objective is to understand and explain the causes and effects of this concept that, despite having originated the scientific research mentioned, in particular in these last two years, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, have not been explored
enough and therefore are not yet consensual.
Workshop Summary and key questions to be investigated highlighting existing innovative practice
There is increasing interest in helping students of any academic discipline, not just business studies, to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The mindset is also seen as being relevant not just to graduates who aspire to become entrepreneurs but also to future employees in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. When educators think about educating students about the entrepreneurial mindset they consider what students will gain in terms of knowledge, skills and competences. Educators ask the simple question “what do we want the students to be like?” However, insufficient attention has been given to the associated question “if we want the students to be like this, what do the educators need to be like?” Research shows that although educators are designing learning experiences in which students will develop an entrepreneurial mindset, educators themselves rarely consider the strengths or weaknesses of their own entrepreneurial mindset. Therefore, this workshop is designed to help educators self-reflect on their entrepreneurial mindset and consider the implications for their educational practice. The workshop will explore three key questions: 1 Do educators have entrepreneurial mindsets and do they apply the mindset in their teaching, research and societal engagement? 2 Can educators role model the behaviours associated with the entrepreneurial mindset to their students? 3 By understanding their own entrepreneurial mindset will educators be better able to deliver successful student outcomes?
