Lokasi penelitian memiliki jenis tanah lempung berliat, suhu udara berkisar antara 25 0 C - 30 0 C, kelembapan 80%, ketinggian 25 m dpl dan memiliki derajat kemasaman tanah (pH) 5,73 (agak masam).
