he first step to organize a celebration is to
choose the theme party and if you want so-
mething original, this can be a real challenge.
There are themes that are not easily found in the
market, but there are “generic” designs, such as
polka dots, stripes or cupcakes that can be combi-
ned with any theme. You only have to choose a color
palette and play with it in all the products.

Hot air balloons are one of the elements

that stand-out in this decoration. Make
small replicas to decorate the ceiling
of the room, using an R-18 balloon and
surround it with 260s forming a diagonal
weave around it.

To gather the gifts, nothing better than a
giant hot-air balloon made with LINK-O-
LOON® balloons tied together using the
flower mesh technique and being careful
to keep reducing the amount of inflation in
order to adequately shape them.
Other characteristic elements of this attrac-

tion are the dolls that represent different
cultures in the world. The artist wanted to
depict the dolls by modelling with 260s then
placed them on a column made with a R-36
balloon.

What is your area of specialty?

Right now, I am known for balloon costumes. My most famous
creation is Conrad the Unicorn who has a viral video and has
been seen by millions of people all over the world! I got inte-
rested in making costumes about four years ago, and I started
entering the competitions at Twist & Shout each year. There
is a parade in my town each April that I look forward to being
in with my costumes. I also specialize in floral designs, and I
have a very popular cupcake design that I love to teach!
