Alternate account?

edit

Are you an alternate account of User:Orrigarmi? Houflings (talk) 08:54, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@ Houflings Well, yes. I'm using this as my backup account. Otterfolwer (talk) 14:42, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Bikol Central tano

edit

Hi Otterfolwer! Can you have another look at this edit of yours? Both "tâno" and "tàno" yield /ˈtaʔno/. I guess you might have intended different outputs, but I don't know enough about C. Bikol to fix it myself. –Austronesier (talk) 20:37, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

hyphenation

edit

i think malisyoso can be both 3 and 4 syllables...

Hyphenation: ma‧lis‧yo‧so, ma‧li‧syo‧so

@Mar vin kaiser can you look... Houflings (talk) 10:57, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Headers and Subheaders

edit

@Otterfolwer What you did in anyaya, can you not do that? Everything under one pronunciation or one etymology (that's numbered) needs to be a lower subheader. I'm reversing your edit, and please reverse any other edits you did like this. Please respond if you understand. Thanks. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 08:50, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Otterfolwer: Hi, please acknowledge if you understood, thanks. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:09, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Otterfolwer: Please respond. If you're gonna be an editor in Wiktionary, please engage with other editors. Also check my message on syllabification in Tagalog. Thanks. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 15:13, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Angry register label

edit

The labels with 'said in anger' are now categorized; you can also use 'angry', 'anger' and 'angry register' to the Template:lb template. Houflings (talk) 12:15, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Editing Tagalog Entries

edit

Hey, I noticed that you're editing some Tagalog entries as well. Note that there are other editors here than you, and there must be a reason why they edited it like that. Please don't change something if it's not obviously a typo, or you think there's wrong formatting. You can ask us why we put it like that. Let's work together to make Wiktionary good. It's respect to fellow editors. Please respond to this, as I noticed you almost never respond to other editors. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 10:06, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Otterfolwer: Please respond. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 12:58, 18 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Otterfolwer: Please respond. By the way, you edited sawsaw, why did you change the pronunciation? It's pronounced with an ultimate accent. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 06:42, 22 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Houflings Sorry! It seems like a wrongly tagged you a few days ago lol. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 06:43, 22 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Entries from other Bikol Languages

edit

@Otterfolwer I see you're adding entries from other Bikol languages, but it's impossible that you speak all of them. And published sources for these are limited to linguist notes, as far as I know. So may I ask where you got them? Because I'm suspicious that you might be guessing them, in which case, I'll have to delete the entries you added. Removing Other's Edits

edit

@Otterfolwer I get that you update many entries from different languages, and that's good, but before you remove someone's edit, ask them where it's sourced, because it might be important information you're removing. I'm mainly talking about your edits in hindi. Your addition is correct, I verified it, but don't remove other info before verifying. Again, don't remove other people's edits willy-nilly. OK? Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:14, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Kapampangan Entries

edit

@Otterfolwer Hello! I saw your entry at Kapampangan:katawan. According to Wiktionary:About_Kapampangan, the main entry should be in Batiauan orthography, so the correct form should be katauan. Batiauan is similar to Guagua except it doesn't use the letter "w". Also, it's katáuan not katauán. Thanks! Ysrael214 (talk) 15:23, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please stop editing Portuguese entries

edit

You clearly do not know what you're doing so please stop making incorrect changes to Portuguese and Spanish entries like consumidor, comprador, cliente, desesperar, etc. etc. Among other things:

  1. Do not change {{af}} to {{prefix}}, {{suffix}}, etc.
  2. Do not add a * before {{es-IPA}} or {{pt-IPA}}.
  3. Don't add or change any Portuguese pronunciations as your changes are mostly wrong.

Thank you. Benwing2 (talk) 03:06, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

You are still changing {{af}} to {{prefix}}, {{suffix}}, etc. Please stop right away. Thanks. Benwing2 (talk) 05:46, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Otterfolwer you keep making the same mistake and adding wrong hyphenations Stríðsdrengur (talk) 16:25, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Stríðsdrengur Can you give me some examples? Benwing2 (talk) 04:25, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
pigarrear I already corrected most of it Stríðsdrengur (talk) 11:20, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Stríðsdrengur OK, since this user is continuing to do things they've been warned not to do, I've blocked them for 2 days. If they continue after the block expires, I will probably lengthen the next block to a week. Benwing2 (talk) 11:46, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Reference Section is a Third-Level Header

edit

@User:Otterfolwer the Reference section is only a third-level section (three equal signs), never four! Check the entry layout guide in Wiktionary. Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:16, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Otterfolwer Hi!, I think this applies to Further reading as well. Please stop changing those. Thanks. Ysrael214 (talk) 17:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

mata

edit

I've rollbacked you on a couple of edits there. Here are the reasons:

  1. {{head-lite}} is there for a reason, removing it is counterproductive, and replacing it by a mere {{head}} can even be harmful for the page.
  2. Style is defined by the language community, not centrally, so the usage of {{inh+}}, {{lb|anatomy}} etc. should not be enforced on languages you don't edit.

Hope this is clear enough :) Thadh (talk) 17:06, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Userpage

edit

Could you please create a userpage so other user can know more about you? Rodrigo5260 (talk) 17:43, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Labels

edit

@Otterfolwer Please stop changing tlb to lb when the label applies to all sense even if just one definition. You're messing the categorizations. (ex. if tlb: archaic terms, if lb: archaic senses). Thank you. Ysrael214 (talk) 14:55, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Diacritic marks

edit

@Otterfolwer Please stop changing stuff like pérsonál to pérsonal in the headword. pérsonal is actually equivalent to pérsónal in KWF/Tagalog notation and not equal to Spanish diacritics. Thanks. Ysrael214 (talk) 03:28, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dividing line

edit

@Otterfolwer Yes, the mobile version is broken without the lines. Because of that, you are adding the lines. Now, the PC version is also broken. Maybe kindly please stop adding ---- and let the tech people handle it. 𝄽 ysrael214 (talk) 05:55, 17 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
