Re

It doesn't matter Nathan. Take your time. Jivesh Talk2Me 15:18, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for late reply. To be frank, on the first listen,i did not like it, i mean it was just "okay" for me but after listening to it five times. It got stuck in my head. It seems as if i hear it every time in my head. Jivesh Talk2Me 15:43, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Well i will have to agree on this with you. I also thought it would be a dance track. Well, it is but it seems more like Hip Hop-R&B to me. Jivesh Talk2Me 15:50, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes Nathan but i haven't loss hope on "Rum The World". I mean Beyonce has a huge fanbase and this will help a lot. Can you please re-write the critical reception of "Run the World (Girls)"? It looks so bad. Please. Jivesh Talk2Me 15:56, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. Jivesh Talk2Me 17:28, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

I have nominated this article for reassessment against the good article criteria following its review. The discussion is at Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Dreamlover (song)/1. Jezhotwells (talk) 03:46, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Re:

I saw it. I'm fixing the credits for "Dreamlover" right now. Don't worry, I'll help out, and we can get it through :) Novice7 (talk) 03:56, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm... the issues pointed out are some usual slip-ups. Should I comment or should we fix the issues first and then comment? Novice7 (talk) 04:04, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
I've fixed some of the typos and minor stuffs. Please do take a look at the article. Novice7 (talk) 06:55, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
It's my pleasure to fix Mimi/Nippy articles :) There are a few sentences I find difficult to understand (you know where I come from, maybe that's why lol). Btw, we have to wait until other editors comment on it.
  • The song became the first of Carey's transition into the pop market, Do you mean a "comeback"? Can you rewrite that?
  • The video was complimented by author Chris Nickson for its resemblance to the song's music and arrangement, as well as its carefree vibe Shall I remove/replace with Author Chris Nickson remarked that the video fitted the song perfectly and commended its carefree vibe"?
  • Carey decided to use the hook in a new and more innovative way then she thought she had ever heard it. She claimed having heard the hook being used in several different songs and tunes, but not like that. – this one too.

Novice7 (talk) 07:04, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Mmm Papi

Won't you review the article? - Sauloviegas (talk) 19:59, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Ok, no problem... And I think you're right about the OIDIA article... I already removed the nomination, I'll work more on it! Thanks for the comments! :D - Sauloviegas (talk) 02:25, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Curiosity Killed the Cat

When the first snippet leaked I was blown away. Then the whole thing came out I and thought, 'meh'. But after a few listens (and the iTunes download, that's why I'm awake right now lol), it is definitely growing on me. Adabow (talk · contribs) 17:08, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Possibly. :-) Could you please watch the article? I'm getting a bit sick of the unsourced crap. Adabow (talk · contribs) 17:14, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
No problem! :D Take your time. Adabow (talk · contribs) 22:36, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
OK thanks. And yeah, kinda... I was shocked at what was on the front page of my newspaper yesterday... unbelievable. Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:44, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
OMG I know right? It really pisses me off. And only 11% of people find it more important than Anzac Day *rolls eyes*. Btw, do you still hate Run the World? Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:55, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I LOVE rtw, and Judas...meh, but I'm starting to like Born This Way lol. And yes, the video should be fricken amazing. I wish they would hurry up with it. I've just been looking at the Australian charts and I'm annoyed that it didn't even chart in the urban or digital chart... but then I suppose that it only had one day of sales there as they finish tracking on Fridays.. and it was Good Friday, so people mightn't buy songs as much... it was an inconvenient time for it to leak. Columbia should've done what Gaga's labels did with Judas and release it straight after it leaked. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:04, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I thought the US would be the most embracing of it as it's urban too, but when I looked at iTunes customer reviews (not a good indicator, I know) the UK/Europe/Australia/NZ had better average ratings than US/Canada/Mexico, which I thought was odd... ahh well, we'll soon see... Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:23, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Change

Hey, just notifying that I've responded to your comments for the review. And don't worry about the delay. It actually gave me time to work on other things :) -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 16:32, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Personal disputes

Nathan, you need to stop saying negative things about Legolas2186 and Tbhotch in your comments to other editors. You are permitted to dislike them, certainly, but your comments are getting well into the range of personal attacks. "Troll DJ from India" is well beyond the acceptable level. If I see language like that again, there won't be any further discussions before a block.—Kww(talk) 18:14, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

I can see that Legolas2186 isn't happy with the thoroughness of your reviews. I can see that Tbhotch has given up on you caring about policy (for what it's worth, this edit of Tbhotch was correct: you aren't permitted to have copyrighted material in sandboxes). What I don't see is name-calling and other activities that violate WP:NPA.—Kww(talk) 22:38, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Nathan, yes Im good, how are you? Right now Im not at home because of the Easter celebrations, I will be back on Sunday or Monday, so I will try to send you the scans as soon as I can to your email. Regards. Frcm1988 (talk) 00:07, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Nathan, I send you the scans on monday night, I don't know if you get them since you didn't answer me back, did you still have the same email? perhaps is in your spam folder since I have a hotmail account. Please let me know if you get them. Regards.Frcm1988 (talk) 04:08, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Can't Take That Away

The review ;) Pixelyoshi (discuter) 19:56, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

I love the line "There's a light in me that shines brightly. They can try but they can't take that away from me." It remembers me this. Pixelyoshi (discuter) 22:58, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Do You see this ? Pixelyoshi (discuter) 23:35, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
OK, Thanks :D Pixelyoshi (discuter) 16:02, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
I haven't been able to find it too ! I think that the Longbored Surfer chart is correct. There is no link from Billboard and Google Books so I suppose the magazine released the year-end chart on December 26, 1992, the last issue (The 48th issue was released on November 28, 1992) Pixelyoshi (discuter) 22:45, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
OK ! Thanks for "GJWTHF" :). Send the scans on Pixelyoshi (discuter) 10:10, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
I received it. I'll use it tomorrow (Tonight, I'm invited to party) Pixelyoshi (discuter) 21:09, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
LOL. No, I was too busy lol Pixelyoshi (discuter) 21:20, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Sorry guys, I had to remove your email id. You don't want spam :) Novice7 (talk) 06:23, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Jivesh Here

Hi Nathan. I hope you are fine? Is your date of birth May 12? Jivesh Talk2Me 17:46, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Yes, what an amazing coincidence!!! I figured it out just a few hours ago. It's great. Anyhow, how's life? Jivesh Talk2Me 18:40, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Lol. I am scared of turning 18. I will be an adult as from May 12, 2011. I am fine but very stressed due to exams. A lot of work is awaiting me. I have not been here so often and as from May, i will only make "special appearance" like in movies. Lol. I will really like to chat with you but it is nearly midnight here. And i have to go to bed. Thanks for asking about me. We will chat soonest possible. Take care Nathan. Jivesh Talk2Me 19:09, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello Nathan! Thank you so much, I worked on TGIFY yesterday and I plan to finish it today :) Wow, thanks for helping me out with Nippy stuff too :) As for "Dreamlover", let's just hope for the best. I'm sure it'll pass through :) Btw, if you're free, can you expand the "Live" and "Music video" section of TGIFY (my sandbox)? I don't have Shapiro book or Mariah Carey Concert Tours :( Novice7 (talk) 09:11, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Awww, you're a very nice person Nathan 8) I'll tweak TGIFY's prose a bit (I know it's really bad, lol) And, thank you so much for encouraging me. It really means a lot to me :) Novice7 (talk) 09:28, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Nat, I was wondering if you could scan me Whitney's "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "So Emotional" and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" from Bronson. No need to hurry. Also, if you can, can you add Toni Braxton's "Let It Flow" and "Un-Break My Heart" too? As I said, whenever you're free. I have no emergency :) Thanks in advance. Novice7 (talk) 12:14, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Oh, forgot. "Dreamlover" has more comments. Can you fix it? I did a few. Novice7 (talk) 06:23, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks heaps! I'm listening to "Anytime You Need a Friend" as we speak, lol. I'm obsessed with "Dreamlover"! Such a sweet song from the sweet Mimi :) Novice7 (talk) 06:36, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Music Box era was very sweet indeed. Of course I'll get the reviews. Would you mind if I do so on evening (India)? Novice7 (talk) 06:45, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm on it. Btw, whenever you're free, can you add TGIFY live performances too (my sandbox)? Novice7 (talk) 07:39, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I got it from Flickr. Btw, do you know what performance is this? "I'll Be There"? Also, I'm confused if this pic and this pic show her perform 'Can't Let Go/Close My Eyes' or 'TGIFY'... Thank you for adding the Live per. info :) Novice7 (talk) 07:45, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
If you spot any errors, go ahead and fix 'em Nathan ;) What about the third pic (it seems like she is singing a high note, so let's use it, Lol :D) I'll upload three of them. Btw, I also uploaded a very special performance photograph.. The 1995 Madison Square Garden "One Sweet Day" performance!! Lol, a 35mm photograph. It's in Commons, I've asked for a cleanup of the image. When it's done, we can add it!! Novice7 (talk) 07:56, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
I hope they can (omg, here it is!!!). Love that cute little MC 8) Novice7 (talk) 08:08, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much. I'll do a c/e :) Does Shapiro say anything about the music video/composition? Novice7 (talk) 09:52, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

(→) Lol, Nickson's is a great book. I hope a new edition is released soon. Thank you for helping me out. Wow, it's almost done!! Novice7 (talk) 10:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Oops! I forgot, actually :D Here they are:

These are all I could find :( Others are already listed on the album article. Novice7 (talk) 06:19, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Thank you. Btw, Aha! Gotcha! :D It's your B'Day soon :) Novice7 (talk) 10:07, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much Nathan! Got the mail :) Wow, out of the "teen"age soon? :D "Make It Happen" looks great. I was thinking "Anytime You Need a Friend" too. Btw, I've added "There's Got to Be a Way" to my "to-do" list too. I'd love to do "Never Forget You" too, but I feel I'm short of material. Also, does "TGTBAW" have a music video? Nickson does not say anything about that, but the article on Wiki does :O As for the pictures... Flickr may have but it might be non-free license. Lemme check. Also, any fan forums may have photos, you could try asking the members for photos they have taken (PS: If you do get photos from them, ask for one or two from Music Box, Rainbow and Charmbracelet Tours too :P) Novice7 (talk) 04:39, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes! All Hail the Queen! All Hail the Diva! I can't wait to see the babies 8) "Never Forget You" is a really nice song and so is "There's Got to Be a Way". Thanks for helping me out too.. Novice7 (talk) 07:08, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Ya girl

Ya girl had dem babies!!! I'm curious about the names. Candyo32 00:27, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Non-free content

Hi

I've noticed you've been writing a userspace draft of an article, and within that draft you've been using non-free images.

While non-free images are allowed in articles in certain circumstances, they are only allowed to be displayed in articles which are in the main article namespace, not in userspace drafts. If you wish to include such an image in a userspace draft, you must comment it out, or turn the image into a temporary link (by prepending a : to the name of the image (eg [[:File:Example.png]] produces File:Example.png).

I've also noticed that non-free content has been removed from your userspace draft a number of times, and despite the reason for it's removal being linked to in the edit summary, you have replaced non-free content on in the draft, and in some cases you've actually reverted the removal.

I'm asking you to stop putting non-free content in your userspace draft (unless you comment out or link the image, or another way of stopping the image from actually displaying within the draft), as it is a breach of one of the few Wikipedia polices which have legal considerations.

For more information, and something I recommend you read, please see Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria.

Thanks

Fantasy

Hi Nathan, today I found a little quote of Tom Tom Club about what they think about Carey's sampling and I thought you may like it, I don't know if you can add it to the article but I will give it to you anyway:

Mariah Carey's summertime ditty borrows familiar melodic elements from "Genious of Love" by Tom Tom Club. Of the dozens of songs that have sampled the 1982 hit, Carey's "Dreamlover" (they incorrectly wrote Dreamlover instead of Fantasy) remains the Club's favorite. "She must have been quite a little girl when [our] song came out, like eight or ten years old", said Tom Tom Club's Tina Weymouth. "I think it reminds her of a happy time in her life, and what she's done with it is very sweet." Weymouth and fellow Tom Tom Club member/husband Chris Frantz are fond too of Carey's remix, which features a guest rap from the late Ol' Dirty Bastard.

This is taken from the book: Singles: Six Decades of Hot Hits & Classic Cuts, page 261. If you want other details of the book look at google books, because it have like ten writers, lol, and I have to go, sorry. Regards. Frcm1988 (talk) 19:43, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Heartbreaker GA review

I have started the Heartbreaker GA review. I will wait for you to re-read the article and copy-edit it (maybe get Novice to, too) as at the moment it reads pretty poorly. Adabow (talk · contribs) 06:34, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Anytime You Need a Friend, I will Be [T]here...

Yes, I'll find reviews in just a minute. Btw, I think "Honey" reached number 8 on Dutch Top 40 and number 15 on Single Top 100. Here's the source for the Top 40 chart -> Top40.nl (the dutchcharts.com website uses the Top 100 chart,). Here's the AYNAF position on Top 40 -> Number 10. Novice7 (talk) 11:29, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Here you go :)

Hope they are all good :) Yes, it's one of my favorite Mimi songs too. So powerful and uplifting! Novice7 (talk) 12:09, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

It's difficult because Billboard posts the ten first singles from Eurochart. I'm looking for Pixelyoshi (discuter) 12:39, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Nathan, I just sent an email to Mariah Journal. They have some good pictures. Don't worry, I have mentioned about a friend of mine, who's just like me (a die hard MC fan, lol). Let's pray for a positive reply :| Novice7 (talk) 08:19, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Mariahconnection is not that good, then there's Mariah-Source! M-S is amazing!! Novice7 (talk) 08:27, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Sure, I'll :) Novice7 (talk) 09:41, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
No Nathan, without Bronson's scan and the live performances addition the article, the article would still be a stub. You deserve credit for TGIFY too Nathan :) Novice7 (talk) 10:39, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm speechless.. Really, I don't have words to express what I feel... Thank you so much for always being there Nathan. I found a source for that actually, but didn't know where to include it. Background? or Critical? Novice7 (talk) 10:44, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Awww :) You deserve credits for Nippy stuff too :) The Ballads is covered in the reception section but not Greatest Hits. I think I'll just leave it blank :) Novice7 (talk) 10:54, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Oh yes, we can :) What about a more recent album like My Love Is Your Love? If you don't like that Whitney, we can do The Bodyguard.. Novice7 (talk) 11:43, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay then, The Bodyguard it is. There's Whitney Houston, Whitney, I'm Your Baby Tonight and The Bodyguard (and maybe Waiting to Exhale) from pre-1994. Lemme know if you'd like to change the project to anyone of these :) Novice7 (talk) 11:58, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Maybe I'm Your Baby Tonight? Or, would you like the debut album? Novice7 (talk) 12:03, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
No, you tell me :D Which album are you more familiar with? IYBT or WH? Novice7 (talk) 12:06, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay then, Whitney Houston :D We'll split the project after you complete AYNAF.. Btw, what's SCSHW? Lol, I really didn't understand :D Novice7 (talk) 12:15, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Lol :D Yes, Charmbracelet too. Novice7 (talk) 12:40, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

(→) I'm not that good, but I'll try my best. Do you mean the close-ups or the staircase scene? Novice7 (talk) 13:50, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Done. This is my first "careful" upload, so I might have made errors. Here's the file -> File:Mariah_AnytimeYouNeed.jpg. Please update the Purpose of Use according to the prose. Novice7 (talk) 14:09, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
My pleasure to help out :) Novice7 (talk) 14:37, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Added credits :) Novice7 (talk) 15:34, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
As I said, Billboard posts the ten first singles from Eurochart. I don't know if another source would be reliable. Sorry :s Pixelyoshi (discuter) 17:36, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
