A tag has been placed on Elektra Birseck Münchenstein requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Elektra Birseck Münchenstein

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Elektra Birseck Münchenstein, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No independent sources except for other language wikipedia projects or quotations thereof to support a neutral article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Dear VernoWhitney, you have repeatedly distroyed this artikel. www.isleofpurbeck.com/durlston.html states:

The Globe was constructed from Portland stone in Mowlem's Yard in Greenwich in 1887, for George Burt. Burt was Mowlems nephew and one-time partner. It is popular belief that the construction was in London/Greenwich because there were not sufficiently skillful craftsmen locally. It measures 10 feet in diameter, weighs 40 tons, and is of 15 sections.

I write:

The Globe was constructed from Portland stone in Mowlem's Yard in Greenwich in 1887 and was brought to Swanage by sea. It was erected by W.M. Hardy in the park upon a platform cut into the solid rock during the same year. It measures 10 feet in diameter, weighs 40 tons, and is made up of 15 sections of stone and joined together with granite dowels. Its position on the cliff is 136 feet above sea level.

Just to let you know I changed the categories on some of the pictures. I replaced the Dorset culture category on them. Dorset culture is a pre-Inuit culture that lived in the Arctic rather than anything about the culture of Dorset in England. The name comes from Cape Dorset, Nunavut. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Consider this a last and final warning. Simple Bob (talk) 09:56, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...oooh, sorry, I seem to have annoyed you. Okay, so a couple of the sentences were unaltered (however from a non-copyright MoD leaflet). You ask How many times...?, but please read the above carefully, because none were copyright violations (!!!) Therefore, there is no need to threaten me.
However, after writing and translating well over 100 Articles on the Jurassic Coast and the Isle of Purbeck and after reading so much about the Lulworth Military Range, I think that the warning notice is imperative. But to avoid you any future annoyance, I will add the warning to the discussion pages. Regards --Huligan0 (talk) 14:31, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There was no threat from me and I'm sorry if you took any of my comments that way. Why do you think a warning is appropriate on either the article or talk page? Wikipedia isn't a travel guide it is an encyclopaedia. Also, why do you think an MOD leaflet is copyright free? Is there a clear statement on it saying that? --Simple Bob (talk) 14:43, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First: ...last and final warning + blocked from editing (!!!) Apolgy accepted.
Second: a caution warning is imperative because any unexploded ordnance could be dangerous. Encyclopaedia or travel guide is not the question, because all geologists and fossil hunters will be visiting the area after they've read my articles *smile*, (if I ever get finished). Leaflet states: please copy and distribute.
Further, infact I didn't want to write the Lulworth Military Range, but now I have and now I've even added some refs, please remove the unref sign. Happy Christmas, best wishes, kindest regards --Huligan0 (talk) 16:44, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just a heads up that I am removing ukfossils.co.uk and jurassiccoastline.com as neither are reliable sources. Please try to find more suitable references. --Simple Bob (talk) 16:47, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay remove. There are so many difference between Wiki- english, french and german, I get confused. Article names for example, commas or brackets: Swyre Head, Lulworth comma in english, Swyre Head (Lulworth) with brackets in german. Then such things as: references go after punctuation, not before, other way round in german. Happy Christmas anyway --Huligan0 (talk) 17:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Talk pages are only for discussing improvements to their corresponding articles. Could you please stop adding warnings about Lulworth Military Range and unexploded shells to these pages? Thanks. Barret (talk) 23:43, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Dear SimpleBob, you threatened me with statements like: block from editing and stating: last and final warning, I didn’t threat you. I accepted your apology, you didn’t accept mine. I accepted your critics, you didn’t accept mine. I answered your questions, you didn’t answer mine. I asked you politely to remove the unref sign, you didn’t. I sent you kindest Christmas wishes, you ignored me. You said the refs were unreliable, I agreed. I stated my Interwiki problems, you ignored me again. Now you set BarretBonden against me... I’m glad you are a friend and not an enemy. Please don’t apologise to me, because it would be embarrassing to have to accept again. Happy Christmas anyway --Huligan0 (talk) 00:11, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(I posted this at Talk:Mupe Bay, but am reposting it hear in case you don't see it) - I am very sorry to hear about your brother and now understand why you are so motivated to add the warnings. However, such advocacy could be considered to be soapboxing and should be avoided. You could achieve something similar by using a simple factual statement such as "Warnings about unexploded shells posted at Mupe Bay by the Ministry of Defence and visitors are advised to keep to official footpaths, because it is part of the Lulworth Military Range." Then give the MOD's PDF file as a reference. --Simple Bob (talk) 10:46, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to let you know — there's some sort of formatting error toward the bottom of the article that's making everything (including the references) appear only on the right side of the screen. I'd fix it, but I don't know what's causing it. Nyttend (talk) 19:00, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Length of the Jurassic Coast is 155km, not 153km

[edit]

Huligan0, I think it was you who added the information about the Jurassic Coast. This note is to alert you to the fact that UNESCO says that the Jurassic Coast is 155km in length and not 153km. See http://whc.unesco.org/pg.cfm?cid=31&id_site=1029 I have corrected umpteen references, but In case I have missed some, please change them yourself. Michael Glass (talk) 02:55, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Michael Glass, thanks, I had a different source (and unesco still have one with 153km) but your source seems a lot better. Greetings, happy Christmas, happy New Year --Huligan0 (talk) 12:36, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huligan0. Thanks for your good wishes! Have a happy New Year. Finding good information has many traps. Let's hope that UNESCO got it right. Michael Glass (talk) 07:58, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Refimprove templates

[edit]

Information in the articles should be verifiable, if not it could be challenged per Wikipedia:Verifiability. I think that refimprove templates are better option than trimming all tables. Editors will see what's the problem and maybe soon someone will add suitable references to cover and verify also friendly matches.--Oleola (talk) 19:25, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Mohamed Salah shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Oleola (talk) 23:17, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Oleola, It's YOU who is making the edit-war, not me --Huligan0 (talk) 23:24, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo Oleola, you are continuing a personal edit-war against me.
You write: <actually you provided some wrong and unsourced info>: But the infos are indeed all sourced. However your sole source is wrong: with your ref[1] one game and the goal from that game is missing in this source. Please read Egyptian FA official site for infos about the U-20 team.
Please also read Egypt national under-23 football team; here the dates, the games and goals for the U-23 are sourced, in fact, in addition all the goals are all sourced on the page Mohamed Salah itself (goals dated from 29 July 2010 to 1 August 2012).
Please study the German version of this page which contains further refs. Further infos can be found under:
* 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification#Group G
* Football at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament – Group C
* 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualification#Egypt v Central African Republic and
* 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification – CAF Second Round#Group G.
Please read these sources and please stop your continued edit-war against me. --Huligan0 (talk) 21:12, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:GiantSnowmanSnowman, thanks for posting this very funny "warning" on my talk page. Pease note that I wrote: Swiss Cup runner up: 2012–13 (four words and one season) in which two links were included and within both links one can read that FC Basel lost the final in a penalty shoot-out. If one does not win a final, one is a runner-up. I will now revert your revert to my original edit and will add this ref[2] and this ref[3] and thus I hope that this will help you not to repeat your embarassing mistake a second time. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 21:02, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd strongly advise you to get rid of your crummy attitude and take some friendly advice. Your team being a runner up in a tournament does not mean the individual is a runner-up. You have to actually be awarded a medal, as confirmed in reliable sources. GiantSnowman 07:55, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo Giant, crummy attitude (???) (Perhaps your appearance is crummy as well and...) I consider your attitude as quite aggressive (!!!) If you had added "citation needed" to my edit and had written an explanation on my talk page then this would have been "friendly", but to delete the edit and to post a "warning" on my talk page, yes this can easily be understood as aggressive. Okay, so you started this article, but during my edits I also referenced it (three times). In Switzerland (Swiss Cup) everybody in the team receives the silver medal for the runner up, player, substitute, reserve player, trainer, assistant trainer (etc.), but which journalist or homepage would mention the names of each of the runners up just so that someone can reference this in Wiki (???) I have made thousands of edits about FC Basel (in English and German) and as long as FC Basel is part of me, as long as I am part of FC Basel (season ticket holder, club member, shareholder and sponsor), I will edit FC Basel, the seasons of FC Basel, its history and its players, to the best of my knowledge. Yes, I will add references when possible. But in such a case as "loser of a cup final" I consider this as "unnecessary". Further, despite the fact that my edit has been deleted again by ‎User:Beerest355 I will reinstall it. Let's work together and not against one another. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 20:25, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GiantSnowman, don't threaten me with the Wikipedia:Blocking policy because it's you who is acting against this policy. Blocks are used to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia and this is exactly what you are doing (!!!) The difference between good manners and bad manners is: if someone challenges the information that's good manners, but if someone just deletes it then that's bad manners. You did NOT challenge the information (which can also be found within the links) you just DELETED the texts and the links and the Web-Link. What have you got against Samuel Inkoom's website: www.inkoom.pro? This is a correct weblink. Ghana won the silver medal at the Africa Cup of Nations see: 2010. Basel won the Swiss Championship, see the league table in: 2010. Basel won the Swiss Cup, see the Final in: 2010. And so on and so forth. I have reinstalled your pointless deletion, but at the same time I have double linked the Swiss Championship and the Swiss Cup. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 15:32, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, you're re-addition of WP:BLP-violating material (i.e. unsourced information about a BLP) is vandalism and would merit blocking if you continue. This is a very important policy, you need to familiarize yourself with it before editing these articles again. GiantSnowman 15:34, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello GiantSnowman, I reverted yet another of your pointless deletions in this article because the refs already appear in the text. ...yes I did: refs with numbers 2, 6, 7, 10+15 and 11+16. I am now going to the Joggeli stadium to watch the FC Basel match and when I come back I will continue with edits to the present Basel team. I will try to keep of your way, because altho' you're funny, you're not very funny and this is becoming a waste of time. Have a nice evening --Huligan0 (talk) 17:02, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
...no, you did not. Look at your version:
where is the RS which verifies the claim that "He was not nominated for the tournament squad. After that competition, Inkoom aided Ghana in winning the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup by holding Brazil to a 0–0 score over 120 minutes, and then, when the game went to a penalty shootout, took the second spot-kick for Ghana and scored, giving Ghana the victory. Inkoom made his World Cup debut on 26 June 2010, starting on the right wing against the United States in a Last-16 knockout game, which Ghana won 2–1 in extra time."?
where is the RS which verifies the 'International goals' template?
where is the RS which confirms the honour of "Africa Cup of Nations Silver Medal: 2010"
That is all unreferenced information which you have added and re-added to this article in violation of WP:BLP, despite numerous warnings. Do it again and you will be blocked from editing. GiantSnowman 18:58, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

At Naser Aliji's page, it says that he played since FC Basel's under 21 side since 2000. That seems to be an error to me, would you please revise that? Guess it's 2010 you mean? Cheers! Eden10Hazard (talk) 13:30, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mirko Salvi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". FC Basel players

[edit]

Huligan, I appreciate your effort to create and edit pages for FC Basel players. In the future please do not title the "Honours" section as "Honours and titles" or "Titles and honours" and you don't need to include the word champions. I've just gone through and tried to edit every one but I may have missed some so if you can help that would be great. Cheers. Rupert1904 (talk) 07:07, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also please include all years the competition took place, not just the year the title was won. For instance, 2007-08 and not just 2008, and some editors are divided about whether youth championships should be included in "Honours" sections. I don't really care either way so I just moved them to underneath the senior league and cup titles, so in the future just do the same as well. Thanks again. Rupert1904 (talk) 23:23, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Rupert1904, thanks for your messages, thanks for the compliment. I've noted your mention about the title "Honours and titles", altho' I'm not quite the same opinion, but I will continue as you suggest. In future I will also include all years the competition took place, I understand your opinion here. Whenever I included youth championships I always reference them, but have noticed that (even tho' you wrote you don't really care) you have deleted some of them despite the inclusion of the refs. Greetings from Basel --Huligan0 (talk) 19:26, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, I may have cut it and forgot to paste it underneath the senior honours they have won with Basel. My apologies, I can replace them. Rupert1904 (talk) 19:30, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Taulant xhaka

[edit]

Hello. I saw your revert at Taulant Xhaka. I must informe you that this isn't correct mode of the player infobox footballgraphy: 1.The club should appeared in simply way, should removed for example FC, CF, etc., in concret example FC Basel, his currect club should appeared just as Basel. 2.Years which player has been part of the club should appeared from where he "signed" with it, to where he left the club definitively. Agree? Eni.Sukthi.Durres (talk) 20:23, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eni.Sukthi.Durres, okay have amended clubs names as you wish, because I do agree. But the dates are the dates of playing and not the dates of contract. Therefore Basel/GC/Basel(now) and not Basel(including now)/GC. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 22:54, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You know who is Andrea Pirlo, the "maestro" of football, watch his wikipedia, at infobox, and let's talk again! Eni.Sukthi.Durres (talk) 12:59, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Hello again GiantSnowman, you are back on my talk page are you (???) I think that you are vandalizing and destroying perfectly good articles by deleting perfectly good information from them. I again reverted yet another of your pointless deletions in this article because the refs already appear in the text. You need to familiarize yourself with the facts before you edit and delete things in any article again. Hoping that you will better yourself, I send friendly greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 13:29, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Transfermarkt

[edit]

Transfermarkt is not considered as a reliable source and this revert you made was completely incorrect. Please dont accuse others of vandalism when it is not vandalism. Perhaps you should read WP:VANDALISM.

I would lik you to take a look at your own edits instead, the date formatting in this edit is completly wrong for the reference as we should use dmy dates. And in general your referencing looks a bit weird. Scores are also written with ndash and not colon i.e. 2–0 and not 2:0. Qed237 (talk) 12:25, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You don't really expect an answer to this do you (???) If someone doesn't believe what they are reading, they could mark it with [citation needed] if they wanted to (this I would consider as positive), or they could delete it (this I consider as negative) and thus considered by me as vandalism --Huligan0 (talk) 23:04, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Why are the dates wrong (???) If I write 2016-01-06 someone corrects it to 06.01.2016 or to 6 January 2016 and if I write 06.01.2016 someone corrects it to 2016-01-06, or if I write 6 January 2016... ...and so on. Please be constructive and let me know which is correct. Okay with the scores I did use a colon instead of ndash, which was wrong. Greetings from Basel --Huligan0 (talk) 23:04, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It is not considered as WP:VANDALISM on wikipedia and removing unsourced content or content from an unreliable source from a BLP is good, we can not have unsourced content to BLP's. So once again stop accusing others for vandalism when it is not vandalism and tone your languagae down. Qed237 (talk) 23:17, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo, I asked you to be constructive and you react negative. I repeat, if someone doesn't believe what they are reading, they could mark it with [citation needed] if they wanted to (positive). Or, on the other hand, they could delete it (very negative) thus this is considered by me to be vandalism. So, you tone your languagae down, mine is constructive, yours is insulting. Plus you did not answer my question, altho' I admitted my error. --Huligan0 (talk) 00:08, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Using three question marks (???) is not a good tone, you are practically saying "Stupid question, I wont answer" in your first sentence, instead of assuming good faith and there you set the tone. And the fact is that removing that content is not considered vandalism on wikipedia no matter what you think. Accusing people of vandalism when it is not is considered disruptive and may have you blocked, so please read WP:VANDALISM before accusing people. Qed237 (talk) 00:36, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo again Qed237, in our language using three question marks in brackets or three exclamation marks in brackets (usually happens in jokes) has a completely different meaning to your interpretation. (???) = :-/ and (!!!) = :-P But anyway the [citation needed] would have been a lot better. Deletes like this for example are not constructive (if not to be described vandalism), especially when all the refs are included within the text. Agree? Then I asked what was wrong with my dates? I admitted the incorrect use of the colon, but you did not answer the question. Please do, because I still don't understand what is wrong. Looking forward to your response I send greetings from Basel --Huligan0 (talk) 20:12, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I understand. However I would advise you to be careful with characters like that as it may be interpreted differently. Removing unsourced content to a BLP is not wrong and not vandalism, but yes adding source is the best alternative. For different reasons the editor choosed not to do so and it was within their rights. About the dates, this article as well as many other articles has a template on top, Template:Use dmy dates, and I suggest you look at that because the explanation is probably better than mine. Basically it says what format to use in the article and is used by automated bots. Qed237 (talk) 20:28, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, so far so good. We are mainly talking about the article Alexander Fransson. Why has his current club been reverted to IFK Norrkoping? He plays for Basel! Basel announced this on 30.12.2015, the Swiss Football League confirmed this on 2 January. In fact he's played the first test game on 09.01.2016 against Biel and he's travelling with the team to their training camp in Marbella tomorrow. --Huligan0 (talk) 21:48, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I am not completely sure, but I think an other editor reinserted Norrköping as the Swiss transfer window is currently closed. Every nation has different windows in which they may register players and apperently the Swiss window is closed so Fransson can not play any competitive game currently (but he can play test matches). Qed237 (talk) 21:52, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can for example look at [1] (which I think is reliable) and [2]. Every league that play autumn-spring seasons hs 1 month but can have open when they want. For example England has 2 January-1 February, while Switzerland has 16 January-15 February. Qed237 (talk) 22:01, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know how to move pages from user space to article space? It looks like you have done many copy and paste moves from your userspace. Let me know if I can help. Thanks, C679 00:52, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Note from reviewing admin: Cloudz679 was wrong to tag these for speedy-deletion, but right that the best way to put a userspace draft into the main encyclopedia space is to use the "Move" tab. That leaves a redirect, which you can tag for deletion with {{db-user}}, or leave, as you wish.
WP:FAKEARTICLE is mainly about things in userspace that would not be valid articles, but it is generally not a good idea to have duplicate copies of pages. If they are nominated at WP:Miscellany for deletion, the usual solution is to redirect the draft page to the article, and I have done that for these two. Hallo talk, I beg your pardon. I added a longer text in the article with a reference that shows that Basel won the final by two goals to one against Thun on 19.05.2019. It also shows that van Wolfswinkel played in the final. I presumed that this addition resolves the problem. What more must I do please? I do not want people to think that my edits are not disruptive and I do not want that my account is going to be blocked? Please inform. Kindest regards from Basel --Huligan0 (talk) 23:10, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Huligano. You created the article Max Lehmann (footballer) im March this year. I also have informed User:Canadian Paul, main author of Maxime Lehmann, so you both may sort out which content should be integrated into which article. Hallo, Thank you for creating Klaus Huber (footballer). When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Klaus Huber), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find your article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 09:28, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo John B123, Hey no, honestly, needs more citations for verification? They are all there! 1) There is a reference to Watson online for the verbal statements, which is quite a long news article from October 2014. 2) I state as source "SFL Glory", which is the official online archive of the Swiss Football League and it's all writen there. 3) I state as source "Blick", a Swiss national newspaper, and an article from October 2019 with a long interview with the referee, 30 years later. 4) There is the external link to the Swiss televsion broadcasters SRF, with the recording of a 1 hour 15 minutes program from November 1989. Where is a problem? Thanks in advance for clearing me up. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 12:33, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. The article lacks inline citations to verify the content as per WP:UNSOURCED: All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution. It's unreasonable to expect the reader to search multiple sources to find the information. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 12:55, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo User:onel5969, I have removed the "doubting Thomas" Proposed deletion tag. To enhance my thoughts, I have added a small amount of text, I have also reformated the text and, last but not least, I have added a ccouple more refs in both german and french. I therefore regard the subject as done. Please note PROD must only be used if no opposition to the deletion is expected. It must never be used simultaneously with a deletion discussion (AfD or FfD), and it may only be placed on a page a single time. Any editor (including the article's creator or the file's uploader) may object to the deletion by simply removing the tag; this action permanently cancels the proposed deletion via PROD. Swiss Football Task Force

Hey, I saw you on several Basel Wikipedia articles. It seems like you are really knowledgeable. Would you be interested in a Swiss Football Task Force? Thanks Kwafsdnva (talk) 18:10, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kwafsdnva, thank you for you message and enquiry. I have focused myself on the history of FC Basel. I don't really know what you expect from a task force. I'm not going to turn you down, but a concept is needed. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 15:25, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It would mostly be maintaining season reports for other teams that are smaller, as well as transfers incoming and outgoing. It could also be making articles for players without one, and updating the stats of those that already do have ones. Thanks Kwafsdnva (talk) 16:44, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Kwafsdnva, but I think you are thinking more of present day seasons. As I mentioned I'm working back in the past and I still have a few seasons and quite a few players to. Are you going to open a Task Force page? User Sakiv opened a number of Swiss clubs seasons (2020–21 FC St. Gallen season, 2020–21 Servette FC season, 2020–21 FC Vaduz season and so on), but he has never returned to continue or maintain. Yep, I see what you are saying. Maybe you can join the task force and maintain these pages sometimes if you get the time. I understand that you are busy with the historical aspect. I'm going to make the task force now. Thanks! Kwafsdnva (talk) 20:18, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Youth Campus Basel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Stop posting silly comments like this: added, because we are looking for someone to help completing the results. Looking for someone is not your job! We also have a private life like you. If you want to edit in peace, you have to act with maturity and know that you are involved in a volunteer project. You can't force editing articles on anyone. Hello Sakiv and thank you very much for your Warning and thank you very much for your previous message about my edit summaries. Dear Leyo, with my edit comment, I meant solely, that I am just hoping that somebody (who is interested in Swiss football) will join in and edit the latest results of the envolved teams, because this is not happening at the moment. The first comment from Sakiv on my talk page was solely the suggestion that I no longer add to my edit summery the phrase ...because we are looking for someone to help completing the results. No, it's not because I didn't bother to answer, but it is because such a suggestion does not require an answer (!!!) Or am I wrong (???) Does it really require an answer (???) And I don't really understand why Sakiv feels himself offended either, but obviously he is (!!!) In conclusion, I am not trying to force anyone into editing articles, but I am hoping that someone will join in. My moto is: let's get on and improve the project... and then let's forget such pointless discussions. Greetings from Basel --Huligan0 (talk) 23:23, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Participation in a research study of Wikipedians

[edit]

Hi Huligan0,

My name is Lara, and I am a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Stanford University. As a part of a research study to better understand work dynamics on Wikipedia, our research team is currently conducting interviews with Wikipedians. Because you are an active editor on Wikipedia, we would love to learn more about your work and hear your perspective on how Wikipedia, and open-source communities in general, function to produce and organize high-quality knowledge. We have done our best to learn about the dynamics of collaboration on Wikipedia from secondary sources, which we are hoping to complement with your invaluable first-hand insights.

The interview will take around 45 minutes and be semi-structured in format. Any identifying information in your responses will be kept strictly confidential, and will not be disclosed in the analysis nor the research paper. If you are interested in participating, please email us via the 'Email this user' tool on my user page and suggest a few time slots in the upcoming weeks that work best for you. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Some minor issues

[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for your additions at Alex Nyarko. I fixed a few minor issues I wanted to inform you about for future edits:

  • Per MOS:NUMERAL, "Integers from zero to nine are spelled out in words.", so "eight" instead of "8", "two" instead of "2" etc.,
  • per WP:KARLSRUHER, Karlsruher SC should not be piped to "Karlsruhe" – WP:KARLSRUHER also applies to many other German clubs –,
  • per WP:FOOTY consensus, for match scores the larger number goes first, so always 3–2 instead of 2–3.

Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 23:39, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't review articles any longer, but taking a look at what you've done, I think it's eons better than when I moved it to draft. There's a rule of thumb that each paragraph should have at least one ref. But that's not hard and fast. If moved to mainspace, anyone could remove any of the un-footnoted stuff, and then, as per WP:BURDEN, you'd need to supply a valid ref before putting the info back in. Hope this helps. The articles (if I remember correctly there were several) are well done, with the exception of sourcing. Keep up the good work. Onel5969 TT me 21:49, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello onel5969, I have added more refs in all four of the articles that you pushed into the draft space because you don't like them. Please take the time to look at them to see if they are now to your liking. If so, perhaps you would like to put them back into the mainspace. In the meantime I have submitted the drafts for review, but nothing has happened. I've been on wiki since 2009/10 working on FC Basel. I created all the season's articles and about 600/650 articles on the players, but until now, have never been confronted with the situation of articles being pushed into draft space and so am pretty confused with this situation. Thank you in advance for your attention and your help. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 21:04, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Results of swiss league from 1899 to 1919

[edit]

Do you have a results of the Swiss Serie A (except Basel) from 1899 to 1919? I didn't found them anywhere on the internet, on the sites eu-football.info, datasoccer.it, rsssf.com etc. Jolicnikola (talk) 13:08, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jolicnikola no sorry, my sources and fcb-archiv.ch only have the results of the Basel games and before 1919 many goal scorers are also missing. The database dbfcz.ch only goes back to 1932, but they are working on it continuesly. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 18:39, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Zé Maria (footballer, born 1976), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Hello onel5969, I don't think that it is fair, that you push this article to the <draft space>, because now, only you and I now know that it is there. If this article is in the <draft space> nobody else on wiki can add any new facts, because they cannot see the article. With your action, you are pushing the responsibility onto me for further information. However, I do not know anything what so ever about Brasilien football, therefore I am unable to add anything new. Obviously you cannot add new facts either, otherwise you would have done so in the mean time. You declaire <notability>, but I consider that being a Swiss championship winner is indeed a notable fact for any footballer in Switzerland or any where in Europe. If this article was in the <acticles> section, somebody with knowledge of Brasilien football could add further or new informtion, if they could. I have now added more information (although I cannot prove to myself that this is correct), references and sources. Perhaps you would now like to move this article back into the main section, otherwise it will stay in the <draft section> until deleated in a couple of months. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 23:25, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's right. You created the article, so it is your responsibility to show that the footballer is notable. You need to have several in-depth sources about the footballer, that go beyond routine sports coverage or database entries, or are primary sources. Of the original 3 sources, one was primary, one was a brief blurb, and the third was a boxscore. One of the two you added is from the team's website, so again primary. The other I can not access, but it appears to be about the team, not about the player. It was in mainspace for two weeks, and no other editors worked on it. If I did move it to mainspace, it would most likely get deleted in its current form. I'm not that interested in football (although it was the sport I played in my youth), so I do not work on footy articles. Onel5969 TT me 10:51, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake at Yann Sommer

[edit]

Hoi @Huligan0! I think you made a small mistake in this edit [4] from 2015. You wrote that FC Basel played 6 Champions League games, but that Sommer played 10 Champions League games. I assume this was a rather funny typo and have corrected it [5]. I was then surprised to see that you're still around, so I came by to leave you this message. If possible, it would be cool if you could check the book you cited to see if this change is correct. Thanks, Toadspike [Talk] 01:17, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Toadspike, yes you noticed that correctly, I did make a mistake. Indeed Basel played 10 Champions League games that season.[1] Thanks for the correction. Yes I'm still arround and I'm still writing about Swiss football, mainly about FCB, their players and their seasons. The autor of the book I cited, was a dear friend of mine, but he passed away a couple of years ago, nevertheless I have spent some 10 years translating his work into English and posting it here on Wiki.
