Friendship card

Good Morning everyone

Today is another acetate flower card, this time instead of die cutting the acetate i stamped onto it and cut out.

I first coloured the acetate snippets with red & yellow alcohol inks.  I then stamped just the poppy heads onto the acetate with stazon ink - stamp on the opposite side to the one you coloured with the ink.  I stamped the whole poppy stamp again and the sentiment from the set onto white card and die cut that into a label shape.  I lightly coloured the stem with pistachio oxide ink & the butterfly with lemonade oxide and added some splatters to the background.  I stamped just the butterfly onto vellum and cut out and added on top of the one on the base leaving its wings free.  I added my acetate poppies with a touch of glue gel behind where the dark centres are so that you can't see it.
I die cut 2 of the largest label4 from white card, one i folded in half for my base.  I then glue the 2nd one on top (photo below) and then added the poppy panel on top with foam tape.

Showing it side on and how the base works, i just cut a little slice off the back where the point is on the shape so it stands up.

and a close up - you can easily see how the acetate shines with the lights reflecting on it😁  A touch of glitter glue added to the butterfly.

Acetate
Vellum

Red Poppies

Good Morning everyone.

When looking through my large dies i found these spellbinders grand labels4 that ive hardly used and knowing how much they cost all those years ago im now on a mission to get some use out of them...hopefully you won't get sick of seeing them😁

For these 2 little cards, i die cut the labels 4 and folded in half.  1 is die cut from card coloured with brushos and 1 is plain white using the brusho'd card for the mats. The poppies were die cut from scraps of white card and coloured with alcohol markers.  Stamped sentiment and mini butterflies i had on my desk to finish.

This poppy was smooth white card coloured with alcohol markers. I added a little glitter glue to the butterflies for a little sparkle.

It stands up well.  Think i will make a few more like this for a bit different shaped card

Are this poppy was cut from a scrap of pearl cardstock, i used the same pens to colour them both and it looks totally different.  The pearl still shines through when the light hits it.

Showing it stood up, i added a coloured paper insert to pick up on the colour of the poppies

Items Used:
Spellbinders Labels4, Grand labels 4 & fancy labels 4
Pennyblack poppy die
Brusho's
Alcohol markers
CraftUK hammered white cardstock

Thank you all for stopping by once again. Hugs Emmax

Kraft Poppies

Good Morning everyone

This kraft card had beautiful printed poppies on it so i decided to colour them in.  It was an old paper pad from B&M called vintage baroque

Card approx 6.5x6.5"..  I coloured the poppies with Derwent inktense pencils and used a grey alcohol marker for the background.  I die cut with my spellbinders grand labels 1.  I then used a smaller scalloped labels 1 and die cut 2 panels from the middle of this piece.  I die cut a larger fancy labels 1, and then attached the outside of my poppy panel with foam tape, then the middle size i added back in glued flat and the very middle piece i added on foam tape again, making sure the pattern lines up each time  - i did this just to add some interest to my poppy panel.   I stamped the sentiment on a smaller kraft square and added with foam tape to the middle.

Butterflies die cut from kraft card with a gem centre to finish. I then die cut the largest grand label1 from kraft card, folded this is half to act as my cardbase and then attached  the poppy panel.

Showing it side on and how it stands up.  You can also make out my layers in the poppies better here.

Poppies

Good Morning everyone.

Where do the weeks go to?

So today im sharing a birthday card i made for my sister in law.  She loves poppies. Ive coloured them with my wink of stella pens so very blingy for her.

6x6 Kraft cardbase.  I die cut a square of kraft card smaller than the card front, i die cut one of the Tim Holtz dies into this panel.  I cut some gold glitter card to fit behind the cut out and glued that in place on the cardblank, i then mounted my top panel on top with foam tape.

I die cut the poppy die twice from white cardstock and coloured the flowers with orange & red wink of stella pens, i coloured the stem green with a marker pen.  I decoupaged the flowers using the second die cut, first shaping the petals where the cut lines are and glued with glue gel.

I splashed some of the wink of stella pens over the background to add some interest - they really shimmer when the light hits them.  Stamped greeting in black. A little butterfly - i cut 2 and layered up, a gold glitter one and then one coloured with the wink of stella's on top.

A close up.  It doesn't really show the glittery effect of the wink of stella and the glitter card.

As i was rather happy with the outcome i made another couple for the box

Yellow poppies and pale green glitter card, i used a different die from the TH mixed media set this time.  The only poppies that really love it here are the little yellow welsh poppy, they line the paths and verges - so delicate and pretty.

I also added some white gel pen highlights just to the edge of the poppies.  Yellow and orange wink of stella pens used

Blue poppy and silver glitter card.

Im not really very good at colouring in - no patience😊, I did these with a wet into wet technique.  Wet the poppys with water using a brush, then added the pale blue ink first and then dab the dark blue in where it would naturally be darker. They then bleed into each other.  I tend to add some of the ink to a mat first and pick up with a paint brush for a bit more control than adding the pen straight on the cardstock.

Poppy Birthday

Good Morning all, i hope you are having a good week.

So today i am sharing 2 poppy birthday cards, i again used my wink of stella pens, these are my new fav for colouring in images, the sparkle is amazing and they are so easy to use.

Chocolate Baroque poppy stamp.  I stamped the image twice and cut out the 2nd one and decoupaged onto the first one.  Sue wilson noble dies used for the card, i die cut the frame and mounted on foam pads onto dark green cardstock.  Stamped sentiment die cut with fishtail banners.  I used a fineliner pen to faux stitch around the outside edge.

Close up, you can just about make out the sparkle of the wink of stella pens.  I also added some ink splats to the background to add some interest.

A5 cardblank.  I again stamped the poppy twice and cut the flower heads out to decoupage.  Spellbinders embossing folder, all mounted onto dark green cardstock.  I wrapped with ribbon and added a little butterfly charm.
