Big 40

Good Morning everyone

The 2nd card i made for my sister-in-laws 40th  birthday for my parents to give her.  I started with this gorgeous teal daisy paper as its just her colour and teamed it up with rose gold glitter card which picks up on the pinky flower centres.

6x6" white card base.  I die cut the scalloped edge die from the  bottom front edge, die cut the same edge die from a piece of patterned paper from which Id hand cut (bit wonky😁) large 40 numerals, i then used 2mm foam tape to adhered this to rose gold glitter card and then the card front.  I added the middle pieces from the numbers back in place with more foam tape.

To the top edge i added a small strip of white card and the rose gold glitter card to help frame it.  Stamped sentiment to finish.

Showing it side on

and how it looks closed, i added a piece of the paper and rose gold glitter to the inside back of the card so you can see it when the card is closed - sadly the photos don't pick up just how sparkly this glitter card is.

Thank you for all your lovely positive comments on my never ending card for my sis-in-law, I appreciate them all.

Items Used:
Make&create paper from the works 'lovely flowers'
Crafters companion rose gold glitter card
MFT scalloped edged dies
Clearly besotted sentiment stamp

Thank you all for popping by once again. Emmax

New Home

Good Morning everyone

A little new home card today using paper snippets to die cut some pretty floral houses

5x5" Kraft card base.  I first die cut as many houses as possible from the paper scraps and kraft card.  From the back of the kraft card ones i taped in the windows and doors so that they didn't fall out, I then cut the roofs off the paper houses and glued onto the kraft ones.  After looking at them for a while i decided to help the windows stand out from the busy papers by drawing around them with a blue fineliner pen.

I took a piece of blue paper slightly smaller than my card front and die cut the memory box circle burst towards the top, i added soft gold glitter card behind to act as my sunshine, i added a greeny paper to the bottom to act as grass and stamped the sentiment with dark blue ink and adhered to the card front.

I then arranged the houses and adhered with pinflair glue gel.  I also added a little die cut hot air balloon to finish.

I managed to make 2 cards with my little floral houses, one for a friend who is settling into her new home and one for my box.

This is the pile of scraps i had left from making my batch of exploding insert cards which i decided to make an effort and use before moving on.  For these 2 new home cards I just took the papers with pink & purple flowers.

Items Used :
Memory box circle burst die
Memory box balloon die
House dies
Clearly besotted sentiment stamp
Crafters companion gold glitter card
Make&create paper pad from the works 'vintage floral'
Kraft card

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a good end to the week and weekend. Hugs Emmaxxx

Exploding insert Christmas cards

Good Morning everyone

Today is Christmas cards using a beautiful paper pad from a Polish company called 'paper heaven' pad called 'swiateczna girlanda' , i teamed them up with very old spellbinders bauble & poinsettia dies and added an exploding insert made using 12x12 Christmas paper pads from the works.

6x6" base card.   I first die cut the bauble and memory box collage die (one with little holes) from the centre of the paper, i then adhered gold mirror card to the card base front and added the outer frame of the paper with foam tape, i then adhered the bauble back in place, glued in flat, allowing the mirror card to shine though the holes from the collage die.  I then die cut a poinsettia and added to the centre of the bauble and die cut sentiment to finish.

For my exploding inserts i took a sheet of double sided 12x12" paper and folded using instructions from pinterest and glued into place.  Computer printed sentiment die cut into a bauble and a plain white paper bauble added to write our greeting on.

Trying to photograph it was interesting - hence my little light trying to hold it open, it does pop right out to easily write the greeting.

Showing it side on with the insert.

Version 2
This time instead of gold mirror card i used a rose gold glitter card that went well with the colours in the beautiful paper.

Version 3
The same but different, gold glitter card behind the holey apertures.  I added glossy accents to all the berries on the papers.

and the insert.  Id not left enough room around the printed sentiment to die cut into a bauble this time, so i die cut it into an oval and matted onto a gold glitter bauble.

I used this tutorial for my insert from Beccys Place blog as it was easy to follow with clear written instructions but more importantly for me clear photo step by step.  Actually its a lovely blog to take a look at when you have a minute - especially the a-z card folds page.
(I have no affiliation with the blog)

Items Used:
Paper Heaven pad 'swiateczna girlanda (christmas garland)
the works 12x12 paper pads 'classic christmas party' & the best time of the year'
Spellbinders dies 'poinsettia' bauble'
  Memory box 'collage die'
Cheerylynn sentiment die
crafters companion self adhesive glitter paper
gold mirror card

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a great week. Emmax

Alice is 7

Good Morning everyone, i hope you had a good weekend

My niece Alice is 7 this week so these are the 2 cards ive made for her.

8x8" card.  A friend sent me these stamped space people last year and i found a space background in my stash so i decided to make a shaker card.

I picked up on the colours in the background and went with a soft turquoise and rich plum pearl and white linen cardstock and my grand circle dies to die cut a frame for the card front.  I embossed the plum pearl with a dotty embossing folder, adhered them all together and glued acetate to the back.

I coloured the space characters, plants, rocket, stars with alcohol markers. I adhered the background paper to my card front and attached the stamped images, using glue gel for the space people.

I added foam tape to the back of the frame, making sure to leave no gaps.  I sprinkled in sequins, glitter and gems and added the frame on top to seal it all in.  Computer printed sentiment to finish.

Items Used:
Spacepeople stamps - brand unknown
Crafters companion 8x8 spot embossing folder
Art by marlene paper pad 'out of this world'
CraftUk ltd white linen cardstock
Shaker bits

and card 2

A5 white cardbase.  I found this fab rainbow zebra paper in a pad and as Alice and family have just taken on a new horse i thought it ideal and a bit different.  I cut out 3 zebras from the 12x12 paper.  I took 2 happy birthday print backgrounds in pale green and lilac picking up on the colours in the zebras and matted them onto pink glitter card with a panel of white strip embossed cardstock and layered onto the card front.

I added the zebras with glue gel and computer printed sentiment die cut into a circle to finish.  I didn't add a separate birthday sentiment as i have the birthday printed cardstock for the background.  Glitter glue highlights to finish.

Items Used:
Crafts you create 12x12 paper pad 'down in the jungle'
Sizzix diagonal strip embossing folder
Anna Marie Birthday printed card
Ranger stickles 'twinkle'
B&M pink glitter card

Thank you all for stopping by and taking the time to read by little blog and leave comments. Waving hello to all my email followers.  Have a great week everyone.  Hugs Emmaxxx

O for Owl

Good Morning everyone.

Its time for a new challenge over at Alphabet Challenge - the theme for the next fortnight is:

O - OWL

So a good theme suitable for many occasions and any age.  I made a card for someone just starting university to wish them luck.

6x6 white scalloped cardbase. I cut a square of white linen card to fit my base and die cut a star circle frame into it.  I then stamped the greeting.  I added this panel with foam tape onto gold glitter card and then black pearlised card and then the card base.

I then die cut my tattered lace owl die from black pearlised card, after poking all the little pieces out I glued it onto white card and cut around the outside edge.  I then gave it a curve before adding to the card with glue gel.

Just a close up on my owl, you can pick up the gold glitter card a bit better at this angle too.

Items Used:
Tattered lace 'Barn owl in flight' die
Star Circle die (unbranded)
Crafters companion sentiment stamp
Jellybean champagne gold glitter card
Black pearlised card - payper box
White linen & scalloped card blank - craftUK Ltd

So if you fancy joining in and to see what everyone comes up with using Owls, hop over to Alphabet Challenge

Thank you for stopping by and wishing you all a good weekend. Emma

Wedding Card

Morning Everyone.

Today im sharing a wedding card i needed to make

6x5.5" white linen base card.  I cut a panel of white card and dry embossed with the tied together embossing folder.  I then mounted that onto Silver glitter card and black card and added to the card front.

I computer printed a sentiment and die cut into a plain oval, mounted onto a larger over from silver glitter card and then a fancy die cut oval from black card.  I added this to the front on foam.

I inked a panel of card with cracked pistachio oxide ink, once dry i die cut it into foliage.  These i added around the oval with pink ready made roses.  Pink pearls to finish.

A close up of the flowers, they are a two tone so rather nice.  This glitter card is actually totally smooth.

Items Used:
Spellbinders Oval standard dies & Opulent Oval dies
Couture Creations Tied together embossing folder
Unbranded foliage die
Ready made paper roses
Silver glitter card - Jellybean crafts
Pistachio Distress oxide ink

Glitter Flowers

Good Morning everyone, i hope you are all keeping warm with this cold snap.

Im going to try different layouts this year so joined in a couple of sketch challenges and it also helped me with making this card for my sister in law.  Ive also recently come into some amazing glitter card from Jelly bean so been having fun playing with it.

6x6 White card.  I then die cut and made up the flower using champagne glitter card, i made up the card layout following a sketch, stamped greeting in grey and some matting and layering.  I broke up the colour with some distress oxide inked foliage and matching green gems.

Onto two thank you cards for friends that sent me some lovely craft goodies to play with.
