Educational but risky: New technologies in a new context: Editorial of the Communication, Education and Social Media Track of the TEEM Conference 2019

Published: 16 October 2019 Publication History

Abstract

Communication, Education and Social Media Track of the TEEM Conference 2019, taking place at the University of León from the 16th to the 18th of October, includes ten presentations with two clear focuses: educational uses and applications of new technologies, mainly social media, and the risks of these new technologies. Most of the presentations are from authors affiliated to the University of Salamanca, but the fields they come from are very different, and there is a notable presence of international authors and institutions, as well as presentations focused in international contexts, what enriches the potential discussion and the interest of the track.
