What to expect at the Canadian Gaming Summit 2024


The Canadian Gaming Summit 2024 is being held on 18th to the 20th June in Toronto. The event, powered by SBC, will be covering various themes in the gaming and betting industry, as well as hosting thousands of industry representatives. Here is a breakdown of what to expect during the proactive couple of days.

uring the event, there will be an entourage of conferences and showcases across the three days, which will bring together an estimated 3,000+ Delegates, 150+ speakers and 75+ Exhibitors to experience a plethora of gaming and betting expertise. As well as this, more than 1,000 operators and 200+ affiliates will be attending.


Following the SBC Summit North America at the start of May which saw industry leaders discussing key topics surrounding sports betting and iGaming, such as identifying pain points, discussing solutions, and exploring the potential of North American markets for regional and global companies. SBC will also be heavily involved in presenting and producing more insights at June’s Canadian Gaming Summit in Toronto, and being involved in another unique edition, adding to their extensive portfolio of successful events.


Described as ‘the powerhouse of expertise’ by SBC, they will be following their agenda by delivering ‘the most robust and future-thinking conference program in the Canadian gaming industry.’ The Canadian gaming and betting brands will be represented through a diverse lineup of speakers, Headlining will be Pat Davis (President and CEO, BCLC), Will Hill (Executive Director, Canadian Lottery Coalition), Brian Christopher (President and CEO, BC Slots), Patrick Daigle (President and CEO, Atlantic Lottery), and many more.


Day one at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will open with a Player Protection Symposium which will include conferences on safeguarding high-stakes players, ethical engagement, and responsible marketing. To conclude the opening day, delegates will be invited into the RS Sports Bar to form important first impressions and reconnect with other businesses. Wednesday at the Summit, will present a warm welcome, with a global gaming women breakfast where delegates in the industry can connect with colleagues and friends over a coffee. At 10:30 is when the Summit truly comes to life, with conferences and exhibitions running simultaneously throughout the day, exploring topics such as sports data, payment solutions, virtual sports, gaming platforms and casino games. In addition, many leading figures from the iGaming, land-based casino and Canadian


sports betting will be taking the stage. The ongoing growth and innovation of digital platforms have significantly increased players’ gaming options, while simultaneously intensifying the challenge for brands to differentiate themselves from competitors and attract new players.


On 20th June, during the final full day of the Summit, speakers will explore the concern on maximising loyalty with CRM technologies, building strong operator-affiliate partnerships, and delving into the latest gamification strategies to aid affiliates and other marketeers in converting new players and instilling brand loyalty. The ‘Affiliate & Advertising’ will consist of an exploration of the key topics in marketing and affiliation, such as innovative fan engagement strategies, how to effectively appeal to the next generation of players and methods to maintain a strong brand image. Throughout this day, the conference will be split into four panels, each discussing different strategies. The first, titled; ‘Maximising Loyalty with CRM: Leveraging Gamification and AI Strategies,’ and the next panel, titled; ‘Next- Gen Gamification: Engaging Millennials and Gen Z,’ will address optimal strategies to attract and engage Millennials and Gen Z players. Also, there will be discussions on the nuances between both demographics and explore how traditional casinos and bookmakers can adapt to appeal to younger audiences. Penultimately, the third title; ‘Building Lasting Partnerships: Affiliates and Operators,’


will provide delegates with the framework to craft successful operator-affiliate partnership. Then, to conclude the final track panel of the day, titled; ‘Fan Engagement Strategies in Sports Betting,’ will equip delegates with the tools to engage Canadian sports fans effectively. The Canadian Gaming Summit looks to be an ideal opportunity for every company, eager to engage in business within one of the world’s most dynamic and exciting gambling markets.
