Según consigna el decreto, el canon del 15% a abonar por las licencias reconocidas a los actuales concesionarios de casinos para que instrumenten, implementen, operen y exploten la actividad de juegos de azar en línea deberá abonarse por mes vencido. Los resultados netos obtenidos a partir de la explotación de la actividad, en tanto, serán destinados en un 50% a la Agencia de Prevención de Consumo de Drogas y Tratamiento Integral de

La SCJ promueve desarrollo sustentable de casinos y regulación clara con respecto al juego ilegal
La Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego rindió la cuenta pública presencial de la institución, el 10 de mayo, en la que informó los resultados de la gestión desarrollada el 2023 y dio a conocer los principales desafíos comprometidos para el período 2024. En su intervención, la titular del organismo, Vivien Villagrán, destacó el trabajo que se ha realizado en torno a los procesos de otorgamiento de permisos de operación de casinos de juego y sobre la pronta dictación de la normativa que regula las plataformas que desarrollan juegos en línea.
“Continuamos con el trabajo que busca potenciar nuestro actuar de manera que el desempeño institucional mejore continuamente en eficiencia y calidad, acorde a nuestro mandato legal”, declaró la Superintendenta del ramo.
Lo anterior se encuentra en línea con el proceso de planificación estratégica definido por la SCJ para el período 2023-2025, donde se establecieron tres objetivos prioritarios: Aumentar la competitividad y el valor público de la industria y los proyectos

SCJ promotes sustainable casino development and clear illegal gambling regulations
Chile’s regulator, Superintendencia de Casino de Juego (SCJ) presented the institution’s public report on May 10, reporting the results of its management work carried out in 2023 and announced the main challenges to tackle in the 2024 period. In her speech, SCJ Chief Vivien Villagran, highlighted the work that has been done on licensing processes to operate casinos in the country, and the timely issuance of regulations for platforms that develop online games.
“We continue with the work that seeks to enhance our actions so that the institutional work continuously improves in efficiency and quality in accordance with our legal mandate,” said Villagran.
