MeV-scale Seesaw and Leptogenesis
/ Domcke, Valerie (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Drewes, Marco (Leuven U.) ; Hufnagel, Marco (DESY) ; Lucente, Michele (Louvain U.)
We study the type-I seesaw model with three right-handed neutrinos and Majorana masses below the pion mass. In this mass range, the model parameter space is not only strongly constrained by the requirement to explain the light neutrino masses, but also by experimental searches and cosmological considerations. Big-Bang Nucleosynthesis
/ Fields, Brian D. (Illinois U., Urbana) ; Molaro, Paolo (Trieste Observ.) ; Sarkar, Subir (Bohr Inst. ; Oxford U.)
A critical review is given of the current status of cosmological nucleosynthesis. In the framework of the Standard Model with 3 types of relativistic neutrinos, the baryon-to-photon ratio, η, corresponding to the inferred primordial abundances of deuterium and helium-4 is consistent with the independent determination of η from observations of anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background. Gravitational Wave and CMB Probes of Axion Kination
/ Co, Raymond T. (Minnesota U., Theor. Phys. Inst.) ; Dunsky, David (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley) ; Fernandez, Nicolas (Illinois U., Urbana) ; Ghalsasi, Akshay (Pittsburgh U.) ; Hall, Lawrence J. (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley) ; Harigaya, Keisuke (CERN ; Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Shelton, Jessie (Illinois U., Urbana)
Rotations of an axion field in field space provide a natural origin for an era of kination domination, where the energy density is dominated by the kinetic term of the axion field, preceded by an early era of matter domination. Remarkably, no entropy is produced at the end of matter domination and hence these eras of matter and kination domination may occur even after Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. [...]

AlterBBN v2: A public code for calculating Big-Bang nucleosynthesis constraints in alternative cosmologies
/ Arbey, A. (Lyon, IPN ; CERN ; IUF, Paris) ; Auffinger, J. (Lyon, IPN ; Lyon, Ecole Normale Superieure) ; Hickerson, K.P. (Caltech, Kellogg Lab) ; Jenssen, E.S. (Inst. Theor. Astrophys., Oslo)
We present the version 2 of AlterBBN, an open public code for the calculation of the abundance of the elements from Big-Bang nucleosynthesis. It does not rely on any closed external library or program, aims at being user-friendly and allowing easy modifications, and provides a fast and reliable calculation of the Big-Bang nucleosynthesis constraints in the standard and alternative cosmologies..

An allowed window for heavy neutral leptons below the kaon mass
/ Bondarenko, Kyrylo (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Boyarsky, Alexey (Leiden U.) ; Klaric, Juraj (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Mikulenko, Oleksii (Leiden U. ; Taras Shevchenko U.) ; Ruchayskiy, Oleg (Bohr Inst.) ; Syvolap, Vsevolod (Bohr Inst.) ; Timiryasov, Inar (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne)
The extension of the Standard Model with two gauge-singlet Majorana fermions can simultaneously explain two beyond-the-Standard-model phenomena: neutrino masses and oscillations, as well as the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe. The parameters of such a model are constrained by the neutrino oscillation data, direct accelerator searches, big bang nucleosynthesis, and requirement of successful baryogenesis. [...]

Big Bang Nucleosynthesis and Cosmological Constraints on Neutrino Oscillation Parameters
/ Kirilova, Daniela (Sofiya, Inst. Astron.) ; Chizhov, Mihail (Sofiya, Space Research Inst. ; CERN)
We present a review of cosmological nucleosynthesis (CN) with neutrino oscillations, discussing the different effects of oscillations on CN, namely: increase of the effective degrees of freedom during CN, spectrum distortion of the oscillating neutrinos, neutrino number density depletion, and growth of neutrino-antineutrino asymmetry due to active-sterile oscillations. We discuss the importance of these effects for the primordial yield of helium-4. [...]
