Measurements of net-charge fluctuations across various colliding systems with ALICE / Khan, Shaista (Aligarh Muslim U.)
Event-by-event fluctuations of conserved quantities such as electric charge, baryon number, and strangeness in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions provide insight into the properties of the quark-gluon plasma and the QCD phase diagram. The net-charge fluctuations in finite phase space are usually studied using the $\nu_{dyn}[+,-]$ observable, which is robust against the detection efficiency losses. [...]

Event-by-Event correlations and fluctuations with strongly intensive quantities in heavy-ion and / Sputowska, Iwona Anna (Cracow, INP) /ALICE Collaboration
This paper presents a short overview of event-by-event correlations and fluctuations analysis with strongly intensive quantities measured by ALICE at LHC in pp, p--Pb, Xe--Xe, and Pb--Pb collisions in the overall energy regime ranging from $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=0.9$ up to 13~TeV. The evolution of the forward-backward strongly intensive quantity $\Sigma$ is analyzed as a function of the distance between forward and backward pseudorapidity intervals ($\eta$ gap), the centrality of the collision, and the width of the centrality bin. [...]

Centrality dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV /ALICE Collaboration
This note provides additional material related to the analysis of mid-rapidity pseudorapidity density of charged particles ($\mathrm{d}N_\mathrm{ch}/\mathrm{d}\eta$) in Pb-Pb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair, $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV (arXiv:1512.06104). We discuss the details of the Glauber Monte Carlo calculation and its relation with the experimental data. [...]

Charge fluctuations in Pb--Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = $2.76 TeV measured by ALICE experiment / Jena, Satyajit (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /for ALICE Collaboration
Charge fluctuations provide a possible signature for the existence of the de-confined Quark Gluon Plasma phase (QGP). Being sensitive to the square of the charges, fluctuations in QGP, with fractionally charged partons, are significantly different from those of a hadron gas with unit charged particles. [...]

Net-charge fluctuations in PbPb collisions at 5.02 TeV /CMS Collaboration
Net-charge fluctuation measurements for lead-lead ($\mathrm{PbPb}$) and proton-proton ($\mathrm{pp}$) collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$ = 5.02 $\,\text{TeV}$ are presented. The $\mathrm{PbPb}$ and $\mathrm{pp}$ data were obtained with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC and correspond to integrated luminosities of 0.607 and 252$\,\text{nb}^{-1}$, respectively. [...]

Net-charge fluctuations and balance functions at the LHC / Weber, Michael (Houston U.) /for the ALICE collaboration
The measurement of event-by-event fluctuations and charge-dependent particle correlations are used to study properties of nuclear matter at high temperatures as produced in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. We present results for event-by-event net-charge fluctuations and charge balance functions in $\Delta\eta$ and $\Delta\phi$ in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$= 2.76$ TeV..

Event-by-event fluctuations of mean transverse momentum in Pb–Pb and Xe–Xe collisions with ALICE / Tripathy, Tulika (Indian Inst. Tech., Mumbai) /ALICE Collaboration
Event-by-event fluctuations of the mean transverse momentum of charged particles produced in Pb-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV and $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 5.44 TeV, respectively, are studied as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity using the ALICE detector at the LHC. Dynamical fluctuations are observed in both collision systems which indicate correlated particle emission. [...]
