Centrality dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV /ALICE Collaboration
This note provides additional material related to the analysis of mid-rapidity pseudorapidity density of charged particles ($\mathrm{d}N_\mathrm{ch}/\mathrm{d}\eta$) in Pb-Pb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair, $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV (arXiv:1512.06104). We discuss the details of the Glauber Monte Carlo calculation and its relation with the experimental data. [...]

Anisotropic flow of identified particles in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Zhu, Ya (Hua-Zhong Normal U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Anisotropic flow plays a critical role in understanding the properties of the quark-gluon plasma. The elliptic and triangular flow at mid-rapidity of identified particles, including $\pi^{\pm}$, $\rm K^{\pm}$, $\rm p +\bar{p}$, $\phi$, $\rm K^{0}_{S}$, $\Lambda + \bar{\Lambda}$, $\Xi^{-}+\bar{\Xi}^{+}$ and $\Omega^{-}+\bar{\Omega}^{+}$ were measured by ALICE for Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. Measurements of the nuclear modification factor and elliptic flow of leptons from heavy-flavour hadron decays in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 and 5.02 TeV with ALICE / Moreira De Godoy, Denise (Munster U.) /ALICE Collaboration
We present the ALICE results on the nuclear modification factor and elliptic flow of electrons and muons from open heavy-flavour hadron decays at mid-rapidity and forward rapidity in Pb--Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 and 5.02 TeV for different centrality intervals. The results are compared to model calculations that include interactions of heavy quarks with the medium..

Measurement of the jet-particle $v_2$ in p–Pb and Pb–Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=$ 5.02 TeV with ALICE at the LHC / Tang, Siyu (CCNU, Wuhan, Inst. Part. Phys. ; Clermont-Ferrand U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The elliptic flow of jet particles at midrapidity ($|\eta|$ < 0.8) is measured for the first time in p--Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV and extended down to lower $\it{p}_{\rm T}$ in Pb--Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. The jet particles are extracted with the two-particle correlation method using a two-dimensional fit, and their $v_{2}$ is calculated with the novel three-particle correlation technique. [...]

Centrality and transverse momentum dependence of $J/\psi$ production in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV at mid-rapidity with ALICE / Weiser, Dennis (Heidelberg U.) /for the ALICE Collaboration
We present new results for the nuclear modification factor \RAA of \jpsi mesons as a function of centrality and transverse momentum at mid-rapidity. The measurement is carried out with the ALICE central barrel detectors in the acceptance range $|y|$ < 0.9 and \pt > 0 in the dielectron decay channel..

Results on ultra-peripheral interactions in Pb-Pb and p-Pb collisions in ALICE / Scapparone, E (INFN, Bologne)
Ultra-relativistic heavy ions generate strong electromagnetic fields which offer the possibility to study $\gamma$-nucleus and $\gamma$-proton interactions at the LHC in the so called ultra-peripheral collisions (UPC). [...]

Coherent J/$\psi$ photoproduction in Pb-Pb collisions with nuclear overlap studied with ALICE at the LHC / Massacrier, L. (Orsay, IPN) /ALICE Collaboration
The photoproduction of heavy vector mesons in the electromagnetic interactions of ultra-relativistic nuclei is sensitive to the gluon distribution in the nucleus and thus to cold nuclear matter effects like shadowing or parton saturation. Besides the well known observations of vector meson production in ultra-peripheral collisions, first observations of an excess over the expected hadronic J/$\psi$ production at very low transverse momentum ($p_T < $~0.3 GeV/$c$) in peripheral and semi-central nucleus-nucleus collisions both at LHC and RHIC energies were interpreted as the first sign of coherent J/$\psi$ photoproduction occurring in Pb-Pb collisions with nuclear overlap. ALICE Physics Summary / Preghenella, Roberto (Enrico Fermi Ctr., Rome ; INFN, Bologna) /for the ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE experiment at the LHC has collected data in proton-proton (pp) collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9, 2.76, 7 and 8 TeV, in lead-lead (Pb--Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV and in proton-lead (p-Pb) collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV. A summary overview of recent experimental physics results obtained by ALICE is presented in this paper with a selection of few representative measurements..

Neutral mesons production measured with the ALICE experiment / Matyja, Adam Tomasz (Cracow, INP) /ALICE Collaboration
Inclusive neutral meson production spectra have been measured in a wide $p_{\rm T}$ range at mid-rapidity by the ALICE experiment in pp collisions from $\sqrt{s} = 0.9$ to $13$ TeV, p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 5.02$ and $8.16$ TeV, as well as Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 2.76$ and $5.02$ TeV. $\pi^0$ and $\eta$ mesons are reconstructed in their two photon decay channels using the invariant mass techniques. Study of azimuthal correlations between D mesons and charged particles with the ALICE experiment / Colamaria, Fabio (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) /for the ALICE collaboration
A study of azimuthal correlations between D$^0$, D$^+$, and D$^{*+}$ and charged particles in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV and p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV is presented. D mesons were reconstructed from their hadronic decays at central rapidity ($|y| < 0.5$) in the transverse momentum range $3 \leq p_{\rm T}^{\rm D} \leq 16$ GeV/$c$ and they were correlated with charged particles reconstructed in the pseudorapidity range $|\eta| < 0.8$.
