Goldstone Boson Decays and Chiral Anomalies / Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
Martinus Veltman was the first to point out the inconsistency of the experimental value for the decay rate of $\pi^0\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$ and its calculation by J. Steinberger with the very successful concept of the pion as the (pseudo)Nambu-Goldstone boson of the spontaneously broken global axial symmetry of strong interactions. [...]

Phases of Pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone Bosons / Koutroulis, Fotis (Warsaw U.) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Merchand, Marco (Warsaw U. ; Royal Inst. Tech., Stockholm ; Stockholm U., OKC) ; Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
We study the vacuum dynamics of pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons (pNGBs) for $SO(N+1) \rightarrow SO(N)$ spontaneous and explicit symmetry breaking. We determine the magnitude of explicit symmetry breaking consistent with an EFT description of the effective potential at zero and finite temperatures. [...]

Three Neutrino Oscillations in Uniform Matter / Ioannisian, Ara (Yerevan Phys. Inst. ; ITPM, Yerevan) ; Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.)
Following similar approaches in the past, the Schrodinger equation for three neutrino propagation in matter of constant density is solved analytically by two successive diagonalizations of 2x2 matrices. The final result for the oscillation probabilities is obtained directly in the conventional parametric form as in the vacuum but with explicit simple modification of two mixing angles ($\theta_{12}$ and $\theta_{13}$) and mass eigenvalues..

On the phenomenology of sphaleron-induced processes at the LHC and beyond / Papaefstathiou, Andreas (Amsterdam U. ; Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Plätzer, Simon (Vienna U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
We investigate the phenomenological aspects of non-perturbative baryon- and lepton-number-violating processes at hadron colliders. Such processes, induced by instanton/sphaleron configurations of the electroweak gauge fields, are believed to play a crucial role in the generation of baryon asymmetry in the early Universe at finite temperature. Searches for vector-like quarks at CMS / Pilot, Justin Robert (UC, Davis (main)) /CMS Collaboration
This contribution details results of recently completed searches for massive vector-like top and bottom quark partners using proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Single and pair production of vector-like quarks are studied, with decays into a variety of final states, containing top and bottom quarks, electroweak gauge and Higgs bosons. [...]

Anomaly-Free Models for Flavour Anomalies / Ellis, John (CERN ; King's Coll. London) ; Fairbairn, Malcolm (King's Coll. London) ; Tunney, Patrick (King's Coll. London)
We explore the constraints imposed by the cancellation of triangle anomalies on models in which the flavour anomalies reported by LHCb and other experiments are due to an extra U(1)' gauge boson Z'. We assume universal and rational U(1)' charges for the first two generations of left-handed quarks and of right-handed up-type quarks but allow different charges for their third-generation counterparts. Prospects of searches for long-lived charged particles with MoEDAL / Acharya, B.S. (King's Coll. London (main) ; ICTP, Trieste) ; De Roeck, A. (CERN ; Antwerp U.) ; Ellis, J. (King's Coll. London ; CERN ; NICPB, Tallinn) ; Ghosh, D.K. (IACS, Kolkata) ; Masełek, R. (Warsaw U.) ; Panizzo, G. (ICTP, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste) ; Pinfold, J.L. (Alberta U.) ; Sakurai, K. (Warsaw U.) ; Shaa, A. (Warsaw U.) ; Wall, A. (Alabama U.)
We study the prospects of searches for exotic long-lived particles with the MoEDAL detector at the LHC, assuming the integrated luminosity of 30 fb$^{-1}$ that is expected at the end of Run 3. MoEDAL incorporates nuclear track detectors deployed a few metres away from the interaction point, which are sensitive to any highly-ionizing particles. [...]
