Photon pair production in gluon fusion: Top quark effects around threshold / Chen, Long (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Heinrich, Gudrun (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jahn, Stephan (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, Stephen P. (CERN) ; Kerner, Matthias (Zurich U.) ; Schlenk, Johannes (PSI, Villigen) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul)
We present a calculation of the NLO QCD corrections to the loop-induced production of a photon pair through gluon fusion, including massive top quarks at two loops. The two-loop virtual amplitudes are computed via projecting onto a set of Lorentz structures related to linear polarisation states of external gauge bosons. [...]

Photon pair production in gluon fusion: Top quark effects at NLO with threshold matching / Chen, Long (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Heinrich, Gudrun (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jahn, Stephan (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Jones, Stephen P. (CERN) ; Kerner, Matthias (Zurich U.) ; Schlenk, Johannes (PSI, Villigen) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul)
We present a calculation of the NLO QCD corrections to the loop-induced production of a photon pair through gluon fusion, including massive top quarks at two loops, where the two-loop integrals are calculated numerically. Matching the fixed-order NLO results to a threshold expansion, we obtain accurate results around the top quark pair production threshold. [...]

T-odd Asymmetry in W+jet Events at the LHC / Frederix, Rikkert (CERN) ; Hagiwara, Kaoru (Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Yamada, Toshifumi (Taiwan, Natl. Central U.) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (Toyama U.)
W bosons produced at high transverse momentum in hadron collisions can have polarization along the direction perpendicular to the production plane, which is odd under na$\ddot{\i}$ve-T-reversal where both the three-momenta and angular momenta are reversed. Perturbative QCD predicts non-zero polarization at the one-loop level, which can be measured as parity-odd components in the angular distribution of charged leptons from the decay of W bosons. [...]

Measuring the top Yukawa coupling at the ILC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 500 GeV / Yonamine, Ryo (Tsukuba, Graduate U. Adv. Studies) ; Ikematsu, Katsumasa (Siegen U.) ; Tanabe, Tomohiko (Tokyo U., ICEPP) ; Fujii, Keisuke (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Kiyo, Yuichiro (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Sumino, Yukinari (Tohoku U.) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (CERN ; Taiwan, Natl. Taiwan U. ; NCTS, Taipei)
We report on the feasibility of the direct measurement of the top Yukawa coupling g_t at the International Linear Collider (ILC) during its first phase of operation with a center-of-mass energy of 500 GeV. The signal and background models incorporate the non-relativistic QCD corrections which enhance the production cross section near the t-tbar threshold. [...]

Bound-state effects on kinematical distributions of top quarks at hadron colliders / Sumino, Yukinari (Tohoku U.) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (CERN)
First we present a theoretical framework to compute the fully differential cross sections for the top-quark productions and their subsequent decays at hadron colliders, incorporating the bound-state effects which are important in the t\bar{t} threshold region. We include the bound-state effects such that the cross sections are correct in the LO approximation both in the threshold and high-energy regions. [...]

Bound-state effects on gluino-pair production at hadron colliders / Hagiwara, Kaoru (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (CERN)
We study bound-state effects on the pair production of gluinos at hadron colliders, in a context of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model. Due to the expected large mass and the octet color-charge of gluinos, the bound-state effects can be substantial at the LHC. [...]

Bound-state Effects on Top Quark Production at Hadron Colliders / Hagiwara, Kaoru (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Sumino, Yukinari (Tohoku U.) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (CERN)
We study bound-state effects on the t\bar{t} production cross section in the threshold region at hadron colliders. The bound-state effects are important particularly at the LHC where the gluon fusion is the dominant subprocess. [...]

Dilepton production near partonic threshold in transversely polarized proton-antiproton collisions / Shimizu, Hirotaka ; Sterman, George (PH-EP) ; Vogelsang, Werner (PH-TH) ; Yokoya, Hiroshi (CERN)
It has recently been suggested that collisions of transversely polarized protons and antiprotons at the GSI could be used to determine the nucleon's transversity densities from measurements of the double-spin asymmetry for the Drell-Yan process. We analyze the role of higher-order perturbative QCD corrections in this kinematic regime, in terms of the available fixed-order contributions as well as of all-order soft-gluon resummations. [...]
