Pat Grassley (Republican Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 57. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Grassley (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 57. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

The Iowa House of Representatives elected Grassley as Speaker of the House in October 2019.[1] He assumed office on the first day of the 2020 legislative session on January 13, 2020.[2]

Biography

Pat Grassley was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Grassley earned an A.A. in agribusiness from Hawkeye Community College. His career experience includes working as a farmer. Grassley has been affiliated with the Butler County Farm Bureau and the Oak Hill Cemetery Foundation Board.[3]

Elections for the Iowa House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Doris Fritz was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Pat Grassley was unopposed in the Republican primary. Fritz faced Grassley in the general election.[8][9][10] Incumbent Grassley defeated Fritz in the general election, and will maintain his seat.[11]
