Jason Petrie (Republican Party) is a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 16. He assumed office in 2017. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.
Petrie (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 16. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Jason Petrie was born on February 27, 1971, and, as of February 2020, lived in Elkton, Kentucky. He earned a bachelor of arts in economics and philosophy from Berea College, a mater's degree in humanities from Western Kentucky University, and a J.D. from The Ohio State University. Petrie’s career experience includes working as a self-employed attorney.[1]

2014
Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Martha Jane King ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. King defeated Jason Petrie (I) in the general election.[6][7][8]
He initially filed to run for election to Kentucky's 7th District Court, but withdrew from the race in February in order to run for the Kentucky House of Representatives.[9]
