2016

Bowers' campaign website highlighted the following issues:

State spending:

  • I support Governor Ducey's efforts to reduce our spending to sustainable levels. There are thousands of inmates who need not be in prison. In fact, I would like to move toward a criminal justice system that imprisons violent offenders and imposes fines on economic offenders. In this way, the system could be self supporting.

Homosexual marriage:

  • This is contrary to our traditions and values and is not mandated by the constitution. Let the people (not courts) decide.

Immigration:

  • I support expulsion of illegal aliens and drastic reduction of legal entries to those persons actually bringing value to America. I envision that we Americans will pass our country to our own descendants.

Culture War:

  • The news, entertainment, and advertising media is actively seeking to undermine our culture and values. We must define minimum standards of behavior or else we will end up at the bottom. This means that we should impose the standards as done previously since 1950 on broadcast media.

Affirmative action and welfare:

  • These should have been ended 50 years ago.

Abortion:

  • I regard abortion as a variety of first-degree murder.

Second Amendment:

  • The possession of weapons is vital to human freedom.

Our Last Chance:

  • I believe this election is America's last chance.[6]
—Kenneth Bowers[7]
