2014
Metcalfe's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[15]
Limited, More Efficient Government
- Excerpt: "Government must be downsized, restructured, and brought back to its assigned Constitutional role of protecting the rights of the individual. It should ensure justice so that the people of the Commonwealth may enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
Less taxation
- Excerpt: "Daryl Metcalfe has promised to never vote for a tax increase, and has voted against every proposed tax increase since first being elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives."
Local Control of Education
- Excerpt: "I support the right of a parent to choose how they will educate their child, whether through public schooling, private schooling or home schooling. Parents need to have more control in directing money for education."
Right to Life
- Excerpt: "I believe in the sanctity of life. At the moment of conception, an individual is created. All individuals have the right to life, and constitutionally, the government is obligated to protect individuals."
Right to Bear Arms
- Excerpt: "I affirm Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution as it reads, "The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned."

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
