|State Rep. Becky Cash of Zionsville was first elected in 2022 to serve House District 25, which includes portions of Boone and Hendricks counties.
Cash and her husband, Chris, run a nutrition business, and she is a naturopathic practitioner. She has also spent more than 15 years helping parents navigate services for children with special needs, explore educational options and help them know their rights. Cash served on the board of advisors for St. Ambrose Academy and the H2 Autism Foundation, and has been involved with Purpose 4 My Pain, A Kid Again, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Make A Wish and other charity organizations.
Cash earned a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and certification from Steubenville University. She's been a member of the Boone County Republican Women, Indiana Federation of Republican Women and Stand for Health Freedom.
Cash lives in Zionsville with her husband and five of their six children. Their family attends St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church where they are active in ministry.
- Lowering Taxes to Support Hoosier Families - While Indiana boasts some of the lowest taxes in the country, we must strive to further reduce the tax burden on our residents. The pandemic has led to significant inflation, impacting everyone's finances and causing inflated property taxes. Our elderly risk being taxed out of their lifelong homes, and young families are struggling to save for the future and meet basic needs. I am committed to finding solutions to fund essential services like law enforcement, firefighters, local governments, and schools while easing the financial strain on House District 25 residents.
- Protecting Personal Liberties for All Hoosiers - Securing our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental American principle. To prevent the erosion of these liberties, I will continue to advocate for laws that protect medical, educational, and religious decisions made by parents and individuals. The state must prove imminent danger before interfering in family matters, and medical mandates must be made illegal in Indiana. I have already introduced legislation to protect these freedoms and will remain dedicated to listening to and fighting for the rights of families and individuals in our district.
- Ensuring Quality Education for Every Child - Education is vital for our children's success and the future of our state and country. The state has an interest and responsibility to provide for the education of children. I support strong public schools while advocating for educational choice. Recognizing that no two children are the same, I advocate for funding mechanisms that allow families to choose the best educational environment for their children. I will continue working with local schools, educational experts, and state policy directors to ensure that Indiana offers exceptional educational opportunities.
Protection of the Vulnerable - In my first two years, I put forward legislation to better protect our elderly in assisted living facilities. I fought to protect insurance payouts for disabled individuals. I sponsored legislation to increase penalties for those who fail to protect children from sexual abuse in sports. I sponsored legislation to increase medical care for premature babies and to require processing of rape kits. Finally, I passed legislation to open up grant money for community based mental health. My commitment to fight for the most vulnerable in our communities is unwavering and, I will continue to advocate, write legislation, and collaborate with anyone willing to work to these ends, to protect all Hoosiers.
There are many people whom I look up to, but at the top of that list are mothers who fight relentlessly for their children and the child of others, completely without regard to those criticizing them. You could say that I look up to the Mama Bears.

I was in 8th grade when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded. We were in school watching this momentous event when the shuttle exploded. We were aware that a teacher was going up in space. I still tear up thinking of her children.
I do not have future political ambitions at this time. I look forward to representing the people of District 25 and all people in Indiana in the legislature.

- Parental Rights in Education
- Pro-Life- Life Begins at Conception
- Medical Freedom
My top priority is securing the rights of parents to make personal, medical, religious and educational decisions for their children.
In addition, the right of each individual to make the medical decisions that are best for themselves; without risk of personal injury or violation of religious freedom is something that we must secure in the Indiana law.
Finally, we must pursue additional legislation that will secure the rights of the unborn.
There are many other areas that I am concerned about and will work with other like minded legislators to address. Some of the issues include mental health reform, harsher penalties for child sexual abuse and those who shelter perpetrators, and making sure that all Indiana child receive fair and equal education regardless of race or economic status.
There are many people whom I look up to, but at the top of that list are mothers who fight relentlessly for their children and the child of others, completely without regard to those criticizing them. You could say that I look up to the Mama Bears.
An elected official should be a person of integrity that is willing to do the right thing, even when their colleagues disagree. A legislator must always remember that they were elected by and work for the people.

I do not believe that it is necessary for a state legislator to have previous experience as an elected official. I believe that what is needed today is for men and women of great courage to step forward. I believe it is necessary for uncompromised men and women, willing to do the right thing for the people, to step forward and run for office.
I do not have future political ambitions at this time. I look forward to representing the people of District 25 and all people in Indiana in the legislature.

Campaign website
Cash’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Protection of our communities and our law enforcement Becky is the only candidate in this race endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police! HD 25 encompasses four different communities that make up four different school corporations, countless parks, churches, businesses, hospitals, facilities and much more. The people of House District 25 are blessed to live in some of the safest communities in Indiana. This is largely because of the people who live here, strong law enforcement and first responders, amazing educators and an environment that promotes and encourages business development. But we must continue to stay vigilant so that we can continue to raise our children in safe communities without fear of drugs like Fentanyl and opiates getting into the hands of our children. I will support adequate funding for our law enforcement, emergency medical systems and fire corporations. I will work with local and State Police organizations and local and State fire organizations to make sure that their pensions and healthcare are secure. I have begun and will continue conversations regarding growing concerns about specific illnesses that are growing among our police and firefighters. We must ensure they have the healthcare they need. I also support funding for programs that make our schools and communities safer, keep drugs out of our communities and keep our families safe from criminals. Such programs include State funding for active shooter training, officers in the schools, proper equipment for our law enforcement and additional equipment for our schools. Fiscal Responsibility The Indiana legislature has an obligation to act with fiscal responsibility. This means that we need to not just pass legislation regarding funding but also be aware of where that money is going and who is accountable for the spending. I will not just be aware of the big picture of where money is going but also read between the lines, ask questions and challenge when needed. Education I believe that education is the ticket to achieving the American Dream and that all people, regardless of where they come from, what school district they live, whether they are in the rural or suburban parts of the district, deserve access and opportunity to good education. I am committed to:
Mental Health Reform I am committed to mental health reform. In our last primary, we heard every Sheriff candidate in Boone County and Hendricks County talk about mental health issues in the jails. This stems from decades of failed mental health policy and inadequate resources. This will not be fixed overnight however I am committed to:
We are running out of time. We must prioritize Indiana's growing Mental Health Crisis. Parental Rights I believe that parents have the rights and responsibilities to make decisions for their children. No entity, including and especially the Government should infringe on those rights unless it is proven that a child is being abused. As a mother of 6, ranging in age from 9 years old to 21 years old, I have both experienced and seen what happens when the rights of parents are infringed upon. Parents have the right to make educational, medical and moral decisions for their minor children. Parents should always have the right to change their child's educational environment, get a second opinion or forego medical treatment, make end of life decisions for their child and to choose what and when their children learn about moral decisions. The religious rights and beliefs of a family should never be imposed upon by the government. Constitutional Rights As Americans, the Constitution of the United States of America is our most important document. This document guarantees us the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. In addition, the Indiana Constitutions reaffirms these things. I will fight for Constitutional Principles because this is the only path to making sure that every citizen, regardless of Race, Religion, Sex, Economic Status, where they live or where they come from can be guaranteed these inalienable rights. I will fight for the Truths and Principles in the U.S. Constitution, without exception. This includes Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and the Right to Bear Arms. Pro-Life Our Family is Strongly Pro-Life. Life is the most fundamental right guaranteed to us, as Americans, in the Constitution. I will fight for the Rights of the Unborn, those who have been born, those with disabilities, the poor, the most vulnerable, the elderly and the lives of everyone in between.[3] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states. To contribute to the list of Indiana scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
