Ruffling Rowlet
Rowlet was a bit of an oddball but Ash loved it all the same. From its plump, fluffy body, derpy expression, cute hooting noises, the little bowtie marking on its chest and the way it has moments of chaos when its awake versus the many hours of peaceful sleep it had.
Sometimes the Alolan Champion felt that Rowlet was his Spirit Pokémon. He wouldn’t trade his friend for the world.
He thought that it was adorable that it stowed away in his backpack. A companion for the road!
Sometimes Rowlet was looked down on because it mostly slept. But Ash loved to sleep! As much as he adored food, battling and adventuring.
Rowlet was sweet and loyal. It meant no harm.
Ash was happy that he could trust his Alolan Pokémon with the island professors. His chosen family.
Whether his Pokémon were with him in person or staying with trusted friends, Ash just wanted them to be cared for.
Today Ash was napping on a beach towel at the waterfront, soaking in the sunrays. On his chest napped Rowlet and Pikachu.
It was bliss.
