Chapter Text
It was a grey and murky day and Pooh and Piglet were hurrying along. They had come out for a walk, but it wasn’t the weather for an idle stroll, so they were heading to Kanga’s house, since it was time for a little something.
When they rang on the doorbell, Tigger let them in and Kanga called out, “What excellent timing, we were about to stop for a snack, would you like to join us?”
Piglet said, “Thank you, that would be very nice,” and Pooh said, “Yes, please!”
When Kanga came into the sitting room, Piglet said, “I like your orange flowers, they’re not real, are they?”
“No, I made them from some orange paper. Tigger dear, if you are going to bounce like that then you need to go and bounce outside for a few minutes. What was I saying? Oh yes, everywhere seemed so dreary I thought we needed something to cheer us up, so I made some orange flowers. Tigger, shut the door behind you, we don’t want the cold wind to join us in here!”
Pooh and Piglet admired the flowers and enjoyed their snacks and when Tigger came in again and had been told to wipe his muddy paws on the door mat, Pooh composed a pome for them all.
Kanga has made some flowers
Because she’s tired of the dreary rain
So she’s brightened up the hours
Until spring comes back again
