Wayne had had enough of beating around the bush. It was time to just come right out and say it. Time to be as brave as Eddie had been just half an hour earlier.
“I don’t think I ever loved two people as much as I did when I saw you two in the kitchen together,” he said. His voice was thick. It had been so long since he’d talked about Vic, much less declared his love. “I woulda married him right there on the spot if we were able.”
Eddie’s head whipped up, hair flying, and he locked eyes with Wayne.
“You’re…?”
