Chapter Text
Scorpius squeals, covers his eyes, and runs out of the kitchen.
Harry laughs, turning away from kissing Draco to continue flipping pancakes. “Is he ever going to get used to us kissing?”
“Absolutely not,” Draco shakes his head. “He once turned off the television because two people kissed.”
Harry laughs again. “You say that every time, Dray. Set the table, please?”
Draco nods and starts to set the table by hand.
Scorpius comes back in, followed by Ginny and Luna with Rose in her arms. “Aunties are here!” He sits at the table.
Pansy and Hermione walk in a minute later, hand-in-hand. They sit down, too, followed by Draco, then Harry once he gets the plates in the middle of the table. Stasis is cast, just in case, and everyone starts digging in. Luna feeds Rose while she’s eating, Ginny constantly casting glances at them to make sure they’re okay. They always are.
“So, Draco, when are you getting pregnant?” Pansy asks and Harry chokes on his coffee.
“I’m not,” he rolls his eyes. “Harry can do that if he’d like.”
Harry chokes again, “no, nope, not even going to think about that. I’d rather adopt, thank you.”
“Adopt?” Scorpius asks through a mouthful of pancakes. “What’s adopt mean?”
“When a kid doesn’t have parents, sometimes they go into systems where people who want to become parents can adopt them into their family. Kind of like how your dad and I help raise Rose sometimes, right? But that’s different because she does have parents. I’m not great at explaining this,” Harry shakes his head.
“It’s like Teddy at school. His mom and dad aren’t here so his grandma takes care of him,” he nods. “I think.”
“You go to school with Teddy?” Harry smiles. “He’s my Godson. I’ll have to have him and ‘Meda over for dinner, okay?”
“What’s Godson?” Scorpius asks, and Harry laughs.
“Well, in a muggle religion, it’s someone who witnesses a child’s christening, then helps with their catechesis. But Harry is the legal guardian of Teddy, too, so if Andromeda can’t take care of Teddy, then he comes to Harry,” Draco nods.
“How do you know so much about that?” Ginny asks.
“Studying,” Draco shrugs before beginning to eat. Ginny doesn't press.
The next time Scorpius screams and runs out with his hands over his eyes, Draco and Harry are much more naked and in their bed, under the covers, and they just laugh before returning to each other.
Harry feels like sunflowers on a July afternoon.
Draco feels like he could marry this man.
Harry can't wait to ask.
