Cullen just looks at her, his expression hard to read but his jaw set stubbornly, the quick half turn of his head telling her that he’s as aware of the curious faces peering round the sides of the tents as she is. Even if he doesn’t take the bait, she’s enjoying dangling it in front of him immensely. He doesn't seem to be a man who's all that used to being teased, which is just too bad. Later that night, Rhys gazed at Feyre sleeping peacefully next to him, and looked out to the darkened city through their bedroom window. He thought about his friends here in the townhouse tonight. All the things he had that were worth fighting for, and he reminded himself of Demetra’s last words to him.
I believe in peace. I believe in a better world.
