Summary
In 1986, Lieutenant Gareth Mallory was rescued from the Provisional IRA by an unlikely source. 16 years later, while overseeing a prisoner exchange at the Korean DMZ, he meets an MI6 agent who sheds light on the man who saved him.
Gareth let out a primal scream at the blade that pierced his skin and sank into the left side of his abdomen. He screamed as Tommy purposely twisted the knife, inflicting further pain and damage. As quickly as it happened, Tommy ripped the knife out of his abdomen, leaving a bloody gaping hole.
“Slán abhaile,” Tommy called out, pocketing the knife.The men laughed, leaving Gareth alone, bleeding out on the cold, stone ground.
