“You’re sore?” Magnus asked, considering and Alec nodded, already resigned to having to wait until his body was fully recovered for the next round. He tried to hide his disappointment but whatever Magnus saw on his face was enough for him to come to a decision and he gave Alec another indulgent kiss before he hummed to himself and asked, “Want me to kiss it better?”
Alec snorted, taking it as a joke that he assumed it was but Magnus wasn’t laughing. He was dead serious and Alec was completely lost. “What,” he said, more of a statement than a question but it still did the job of conveying his bewilderment.

Alec stared at the paper in his hand. Jace. That was — it was okay, but he — he wanted — well, it didn't matter. He marched up to Clary, who was chatting with Simon. He glared at Simon who held up his hands and walked over to Isabelle. “Who’d you get?” he asked, nodding at the paper held in her hands.
“It’s Secret Santa, Alec,” Clary replied with a smile.
“Clarissa Adele Fairchild—”
“—how do you know my middle name?”
“Not that point. Tell me who you got.”
Clary rolled her eyes and sighed. “Fine. I got Magnus. Happy?”
“So happy,” Alec said dryly, plucking the paper from her hands and replacing it with his own. “Now you have Jace. I'm sure you'll make him very happy.”
“Uh-huh. And is there a reason you want Magnus so badly?” Clary asked innocently, a knowing smirk on her face.
Alec shrugged. “Nope. Just didn't want Jace.”
Alec had a plan. He would make Magnus an advent calendar with all of his favorite things.
A week or so ago, Magnus mentioned never having received an advent calendar before, which shocked the Lightwood siblings and Jace, who received one every year.
This was the perfect opportunity to make Magnus’ dream come true.
