OR: Vader agrees to Luke's plea to leave it all behind and they both go on a run. They have a blast of a time planning to take the Emperor on their own terms and ensuring that Alliance succeeds in the Civil War (much to Vader's chagrin) and if Luke manages to redeem his father in the process, all the better.
