Summary
Steve and Peggy live a quiet, comfortable life outside the city, in a house by the countryside.
Without neighbours to speak of, they have only one another to entertain each other - only them, their dog and the myriad of problems plaguing their marriage as of late.
Then one night, three men enter their home at night to try and steal, and their assault leaves Peggy wounded and traumatized. Two of the men manage to escape, but Steve catches one of them and locks him in the basement.
His dog tags say his name is James, and he cannot be older than nineteen. He's a kid, and he's the most extraordinary creature Steve's ever seen. What starts as an attempt at getting retribution soon delves into something much more dark and complicated, as Steve discovers things about himself he had repressed for the best part of three decades. -

If this had been a subplot in a James Bond film from the 60s, he would've called it far-fetched.
