    UA has a rule—no quirkless students. It was added years ago, after much hemming and hawing about safety concerns and lessening blame in the inevitable circumstance of death. There's no real reason to remove it, not as the percentage of quirkless people plummets further and further.

    Of course, this rule doesn't actually matter to Izuku, because he's got an analysis quirk.

    As far as anyone knows.

    The Plan is simple: have a quirk, become a hero, and avoid anyone who could disprove those first two things.

    In hindsight, UA isn't a great choice. And that's before the villains.

    Noted historian and author Xiuying Liu (Elite Power: the White-Collar Paracriminal Lobby, The Yàngbǎn in Việt Nam, 1994-2009) takes an incisive and fearless look at the American military-heroic-industrial complex, and the ways in which emerging parahumanity became entangled with ongoing transformations in capitalism during the tumultuous decade that saw the birth and death of the first parahuman 'heroes.' Charting the development of 'Endbringer diplomacy,' Liu demonstrates unambiguously the ways by which the politics of eternal crisis became the foundation of post-Soviet American hegemony, and how the Protectorate-PRT became the sword and shield of the US State Department. A must-read for anybody who wishes to understand how the unprecedented material forces at play in the last quarter-century have created our unique historical moment.
