Summary
His throat spasms, convulsing, as he doubles over in pain, clutching at his chest and his throat. He feels, at his core, the deepest part of his truest self, his heart dislodge. Within a second, impossibly fast, he watches it come up and out of his mouth. It goes so easily– if you ignore the searing pain that Chip can’t even place the origin of– as if it was just Chip losing his earlier lunch.
All of his crew members shout out their surprise, all of them turning to watch Chip lose himself. They’d hardly recruited Gryffon, let alone Queen, and already they'd been thrown into the deep end, forced to accompany Chip on his pointless whims– He’d been the one to bring them here, to rally them to his selfish cause, and, as loyal as always, they’d come gladly.
Just like all the other times, this loss is nothing if not something he brought on himself.

Summary
Gillion’s mouth opens to reveal too-sharp teeth, an uncharacteristic crazed look on face as he moves, ever so slightly, towards Chip. “The leviathans, you mean?” A nod, from Chip.
“I don't exactly know..” He tears his eyes away from the fire, again, looking back towards the bones of a former God, to his supposed people. “They didn’t make me with.. All of his memories.” A grin splits his face in half, realization slowly dawning on his co-captain’s face.

Summary
“Stand up, Kota.” William commands, and he obliges, gladly, nodding. “I brought you something,” He smiles, and Kota thinks he looks like a wolf, smiling like that. “You’ll have to work for it, though. I know how much,” He continues, petting Kota’s hair neatly back, “you enjoy that.”
William’s hands drop from Kota, and, despite how disappointed he is, he understands. He knows William wants to watch. He’s glad to put on a show for him– he’d do anything for William, for how kind he’s been to Kota, to give him a purpose and such delicious meals. Watching Kota eat is the least that he deserves.

Tensions have been high this entire trip, her fellow Captains hesitant to infiltrate a Navy prison– which, she supposes she can’t blame them. Nothing has gone wrong so far– despite finding John frozen solid, as well as the rooms upon rooms designed to hurt them. Physically as well as emotionally, she supposes, grimacing as she remembers the room prior.

Summary
Chip’s eyes linger far too long on the collapsed triton, trying to will the thoughts of Gillion from his mind. He can’t help it– it still stings to think of him. The way Finn clearly resembles Gill– though, he supposes it is the other way around– doesn’t do much to help. Finn has similar hair, as well as similarly shaped fins, which he supposes is funny, Finn’s fins, though he’s too exhausted to find it so, protruding from the side of his head.

Summary
A figure stood in front of a building, one cloaked in blue flames.
The fire danced in their eyes as they stared up, up, up, as the screams of innocents filtered through their mind. They didn’t even really know why they had done it. All they knew was that they were supposed to do so. So they did. There was nothing more to it.
When William fell, the Wisps weren't the first one to find him. This changes some things.
