Enoch O’Connor has spent the better part of a century making sure that all his feelings were tightly bottled up inside of him, to the point where he can barely recognise them himself any more. Unfortunately, his soldiers don’t seem to have gotten this quite yet, and don’t care to be subtle about their draw to a certain dreamer.

Summary
In another world, peculiar folk were able to protect themselves, their society flourishing in the confines of their loops. Syndrigasts held the keys to their own prisons until the day they could break through them.
In this one, they weren't so lucky.
Their lower numbers had led to a weakened peculiardom, and the syndrigast were taken in, but at a cost. Most of their number were taken in by PRIADA to be trained and utilized for the prosperity of crown and country. The common government held them in a vice grip, and death was their only chance at freedom for a long while. They were an asset, and one does not throw away their advantages lightly.
Enoch O'Connor and Horace Somnusson are caught in the web, unwilling agents who haven't quite been cleared for higher level espionage. Their mission was simple this time; gather information on an emerging school for abnormal youngsters and figure out why the students come back changed, if at all. But when things go awry and they learn of a place of solace, why in the world would they stay in their cages?
