Summary
Each story will be tagged according to the content within that story.
I can't add tags to the series directly and placeholders are against TOS, so I can't tag what I am planning until I get to those stories.
Harry Potter reacts much differently to the Dementor attack on his cousin and it causes a cascade of changes in the lives of everyone he knows. He takes advantage of some old traditions to escape the predetermined path he has been set on.
“Somehow you found me a more acceptable confidant,” Snape said, in a tone that implied that Harry’s brain might be faulty.
“This would probably upset anyone I said it to, but you’re about the only person actively trying to keep me from being in mortal danger in the first place. Plenty of people will help me once I’m neck deep in it, but they’d still encourage me to walk into the mess."
“That is the faintest praise I have ever received,” Severus said, but Harry had a feeling he meant he was touched.- Words:

WIP read through pt 3 ch 8
Such speculation wasted time and distracted from the current mess. No matter how much he didn’t want to be involved, he would be in the thick of this. Lucius wrote to him asking for an inside analysis, both for his own maneuvering in the ministry and so that he could forward the information to their Lord no doubt. A couple of concerned parents wanted reassurance that he didn’t run Slytherin House so poorly; others wanted to show support for additional electives. Albus sent a note that essentially confirmed the story of the cast Patronus and Potter’s flight from the country in Feuille Scintillante et Baton that looked like it had been duplicated to send out to all Order members. The expulsion would be reversed after Potter stood trial, as it was improper and there was no doubt in Dumbledore’s mind that the defensive spell was cast against a genuinely perceived threat as a setup.

Summary
Severus Snape doesn't think Albus' plan to martyr Potter will work out and knows nothing of the secret setup to give Harry a chance to live through the killing curse a second time. He decides that what they really needed was to start hunting the Horcruxes years ago instead of waiting for children to do it for them. He sends back his private notes and everything needed to brew a potion to strip off the spells that are restricting his behavior. He expects that his younger self will receive the information in 1992 at best.
On the Summer Solstice, 1985, a listless Severus Snape is surprised by a generous and lucrative gift from his future self.
Featuring: Reluctant schemer turned proud parent. A secret adoption. Narcissa Malfoy and most of the Hogwarts staff trying to get Snape married. Lord Prince decides that a half-blood grandson is better than no grandson, provided he's invented something impressive enough to make up for it. Snape moonlighting as an undercover pedo-catcher to keep his spy skills sharp. The Hogwarts Staff Room betting pool.

Bookmarker's Notes
And Severus could love, and even love selflessly. He’d almost forgotten that part of himself with how tightly he guarded his heart after the disaster that was Regulus’ affections, but Hendrik helped him become more of who he was before he’d twisted himself apart. Childish wonder, bottomless curiosity, the joy of playing with magic instead of studying it with purpose… it helped Severus to guide the child through all that. Even the silly tantrums that had begun now that Hendrik finally felt safe enough to say no to him were nice in a way. Frustrating in the moment, of course, but the parenting classes were right about it being healthy for a child to express their preferences and make the occasional demand. Hendrik just needed to learn how to do it without throwing himself face-down into the carpet like a toddler. Severus had set for himself the enormous task of helping an abused child learn how to live with healthy structure and boundaries that weren’t unreasonable absolutes that changed on the whim of his masters, and it would certainly take some time for that to sink in. Severus needed a bit of that lesson himself after so long molding himself to other people’s expectations. He’d been teaching long enough to know that the act of sharing knowledge refined one’s own understanding and increased the level of mastery of the topic at hand.

WIP, read through ch 23
Leaving her uncle to his reverie, Rhaenyra joined her family as they began to move back to the remaining horses and the wheelhouse. However, as she did, a shadow suddenly appeared overhead, shortly followed by Syrax thudding down to the ground. Carrying a dead cow in her jaws.
Rhaenyra had barely processed the image before Syrax dropped the cow and began nudging it towards them. She was looking directly at Daeron.
Oh gods. Rhaenyra was going to throw herself off the cliff.
It was Rhaenys that worked it out first. “Is she trying to feed him?”

“Yes, about that,” Ser Laenor said. “Not to be rude or disrespectful but why exactly have you invited Lord Beesbury here?”
“He is my friend,” the princess defended. “Our friend.” She gestured to herself and the queen. “Whatever progress I have made in securing my place as heir would not have been possible without his help and support. Gods know, my father has been next to useless. So I wanted his advice for this too.”
It always touched Lyman to hear how much what he had done over the years meant to the princess. Although he did not feel he had really made that much difference overall. All the qualities of a suitable heir to the throne were already there. He had just needed to bring them out, polish the princess’s rough edges, so to speak.

WIP read through ch 2
“Why…” he stammered, at an understandable loss to her dark change and darker words. “Whyever would you say such things, Rhaenyra?”
As she had planned to answer when she witnessed Mother weep in a bloodied shift for a final time, rage and injustice melting her very marrow, Rhaenyra tilted her little head toward her father’s ear and sweetly whispered, “I saw it in a dream, Papa.”
