Summary
“Enjoying the view?” Cody’s voice is amused, but with just a touch of impatience running through it. Fox is tempted to pinch him for that impatience, but he’s too tired for the wrestling match that would inevitably ensue.
“Better than the window, at least.”
“You don’t have a window,” Cody replies with a resigned twitch of his lips.
Fox smirks, the familiar exchange beginning to settle the twitchy something in his gut. “I’m aware.”
Cody snorts, amusement crinkling the corners of his eyes. “Asshole.”
Fox’s smirk widens into a sharp grin, and he’s still smiling when Cody yanks him down for a kiss. Instead of moving with the pull, Fox collapses instead, landing directly on Cody’s chest in a graceless flop. The impact knocks the wind out of him, the gusty wheeze followed by a familiar honking laugh that’s grown rare, and all the more valued for it.
Deliberately, Fox shoves that thought aside, tucking it into the back of his mind where the rest of his regrets live. There’s nothing else but this. Both of them are pretending, he’s well aware of that, but it’s what they have.

Summary
A culture born of subservience and power had sustained itself thus for countless centuries, defiance in the face of it small but meaningful. An ember fed with the worship of free will was then dropped in the kindling of that defiance. Fan the flames with the bitter rage of another spark, and a firestorm will sweep the galaxy.
Desmond Miles and Clay Kaczmarek both expected to die, one a weary, resigned sacrificed for the sake of the world, the other the last remnants of a broken man sacrificed for one person and his own need to matter. Neither one of them ever expected to meet again after that last, desperate moment.
They were both wrong.

(Alternately, for those of you who know what this refers to: the obligatory hooker AU.)

There are worse things, to a person like me, to wake up after dying and discovering oneself in the not-enviable position as one of Orochimaru's experiments.
It gets better.
This world allows me a previously unobtainable level of personal freedom...and my new family is so very permissive. All I have to do is get strong enough to be able to keep that freedom. And yes, I probably should stay FAR away from the ninja and all the chaos I know they'll be stirring up, but what fun would that be?

Summary
Izuku’s homeless, quirkless and hell-bent on doing some good in the slums of Naruhata. Obviously that means picking up a career in vigilantism. Deadbeat enters the scene. Picking up two strays along the way, a new vigilante group forms and starts making their mark.
...But maybe all these murders and creatures popping up in the district are too much to handle. On top of that, Izuku’s scorched past is slowly catching up to him. Hopefully he won’t fall apart before being able to help his friends.
Or: Shinso needs his friends to stop jumping into danger.
Dabi needs some help and Izuku will force said help on him.
Izuku needs a therapist, (who will need a therapist)
and Aizawa needs great medical insurance due to homeless problem children. The price better be worth it.Please heed the chapter content warnings.
