Summary
There was a memory that resurfaced every so often, from when Orym was much younger. Not too much younger, but young enough that he and Will were only just old enough to tag along to the taverns and beer gardens of Zephrah with the triplets. Though the owners and many of the patrons still viewed them as youngsters (or some variation on the word) after years of terrorizing the cliffsides and streets—no tree or fence was safe from climbing upon by the halfling and his half-elf best friend—they were finally old enough to make their own trouble.
"Orym," Alma had started before that first outing, gentle warning in her tone as she watched her son wait for Will and his sisters to fetch him, "just remember. Nothing good happens after midnight."

Essek stood still in the laboratory that he shared with Caleb, still feeling that connection from the Sending that would allow him to respond. Before he had the chance to even begin to formulate something to say, a different sending stone activated and a new voice filled his mind.
"Sorry, Hot Boi, that was fucking useless. Come collect your drunk as shit wizard. He keeps trying to bamf home, but we're not letting him."

Summary
Some nights, it was hard for Orym to accept that this was his life, even after all of the proof and evidence in front of him saying it surely, truly, irrevocably was. There had been nights in the past where he questioned if he deserved any of this, even after the years of solitude and self-imposed exile, even after all of the soul searching and therapy that had helped his heart and mind heal to where they were today.
Tonight, thankfully, was not one of those nights.
