Summary
They hadn't realized the amount of light that dimmed from her eyes over the course of the last few years.Y/n was usually a quiet and reserved person anyway. It wasn't out of the ordinary until it was. They missed the signs it took being on the brink of death for them to realize their true feelings. Years of denying romantic feelings for her in exchange for the pursuit of their music is what they decided but nearly losing her was something they'd never thought. They thought they'd be 8 forever. Believing that they could just be friends as long as they had their group. But after five years of being hated by the world, there was only so much a human could take so she took it into her own hands. On her death bed is where they found maybe they had a chance at saving her.

In her first life, she was queen, and her eight kings ruled by her side. Until one day a massacre ended the lives of all eight kings leaving the queen behind.
Due to the deaths of her husbands, she refused to see her subjects again and only ruled through her trusted friend. Never finding the cause of their deaths. In each subsequent life, she was never able to live a full life with her kings, each one turning up dead before they could live a full life together.
In her tenth life, the present day, she decided not to find her kings wanting them to live full rich lives, to only watch from afar as they worked hard looking for the woman with the matching mark that they all had. In this alternate universe, you are destined to find your soulmate by a red string attached to your finger that you receive at 18. After a series of unfortunate events, the main character isn't interested in finding her soul bond after witnessing what happened to her childhood friend—even going as far as to run away from it, even to a different country. If you spend more than a week without your soul bond after touching you can contract the sickness that if you don't touch each other for an extended period of time you will become very ill and in some cases die. How will she deal with meeting her soul pairing? Will she avoid him at all costs? Will he let her go? Or make her confront her fears of the red string?
(The red string idea isn't originally mine, but I don't remember who I had read the story from and I liked it. Won't be the same but my own ideas around the soulmate pairing idea)
