Summary
Shiva tuts. “Come on out now, my little birdie. You’ve kept me waiting long enough.” She finally turns from the Gotham skyline, heeled boots clicking as she hops from the ledge. The long black coat flutters in the breeze. Looking past them, Bruce releases, when her gaze fixes somewhere over his left shoulder.
He turns just in time to see Red Robin drop from the water tower, a silent shadow as he hits the ground.
“Shiva,” Tim’s voice is strong. He’s gone without the cowl tonight, instead opting for a domino and a Spoiler-esque cloth mask around the bottom of his face. “What are you doing here?”
She waves a perfectly manicured hand lazily. “Didn’t you hear me, birdie? A favor. Cashing in.”
“There are no more favors between us. Or did you forget the last time we met?”

Summary
It was easy to figure out that Jason Todd was the Red Hood and even easier to figure out what came next.
Jason wasn’t really doing much to hide his plans—Tim could see how he hated the Bats and could hear every comment he made about the newest Robin and it was obvious he was planning something.
The guns on his hips didn’t leave him much doubt as to what those plans were.
The hard part was coming to terms with it.
The hard part was looking himself in the mirror and knowing he was living on borrowed time. It was going out each night looking for a red helmet, only ever seeing it hidden in shadows behind him—always watching, always waiting. It was staring at his laundry basket and wondering if he should take care of that or if he’d have a bullet in his skull before he could move it to the dryer.

Tim figures out that Jason is going to kill him so he can take back his rightful place and join the family again.
He decides to do the only reasonable thing and minimize the fallout of his death before it occurs.
According to Jason, this is the wrong thing to do.

Tim could not be more JJ then Tim, because then he wasn’t Tim, but he should be over this by now. It was years ago.
Only Alfred and Bruce knew. Bruce because he was there, to see the real JJ (where his skin was pale, his lips were red in a twisted grin, and his hair was a messy green. Don’t you miss that? Belonging to someone?).
...And Alfred had dealt with the aftermath, making him Tim again. (but you are not Tim. Tim is dead. This isn’t your room. This isn’t your house. They aren’t your parents. Are you done playing pretend?)
Tim was JJ, and JJ was Tim. That was the only thing that made sense.
