Summary
“The Phoenix flaps its wings. It smiles and coils around your head like a crown. King of Flame, King of Rebirth, King of Revenge.”
Or,
After witnessing Cedric’s death, Harry is left alone with no explanation or comfort. He falls down the deep end with no one to catch him, that is until he bumps into Draco Malfoy in Diagon Alley.

Summary
It's the summer of 1998. The battle is over, and Voldemort is dead, but Harry still has more questions than answers. Who is he without a piece of Voldemort's soul in his head? What is he supposed to do now?
His friends try to help, but the only thing that can hold his attention—one of the only things that ever has—is Draco Malfoy, out on parole and weirdly hanging around the British Museum.
As they keep running into each other, Harry sees that Malfoy is different, and he wonders if he can be someone else, too.
Featuring rumpled band shirts, poker games everyone hates, fumbling sex, and a Harry going a little mental over how wands even work.
Fic title from "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve, which was released in 1998. Playlist to get in the late '90s mood.

Summary
Draco Malfoy might not be a killer, but it turns out he's an effective painkiller. If stopping pain was all Draco's touch did, things might not be so complicated, but either way Harry can't afford to be choosy.

Summary
Regulus has it all figured out. He keeps men on a rotating roster so none can get too close, works nights as a dancer to make the most of his chronic insomnia, and pushes everything he doesn’t want to remember about the past ten years into the recesses of his mind. It’s easier to pretend none of it ever happened.
But when James Potter crashes into Regulus’ life with his fancy sports car, wealth beyond measure, and devil’s smile, it marks a switch in the natural order of things. James is a client; Regulus isn’t allowed to fall in love with him. Except James is the first man in a long time who can see past Regulus’ carefully constructed façade, and who could ever resist the temptation of being known?
Or, this is a story about identity, addiction, self-expression, and love in all of the varying shapes they can take.

Bookmarker's Notes
yes yes yes. regulus in this one encapsulated EVERYTHING I’ve ever felt about gender identity. I’ve always felt like the way authors portray them in fics always makes me feel seen. I’ve been in the HP/Marauder fandom for so so long but everytime i come across a new fic that deals with gender like this it brings me a whole new feeling of comfort.
But i just have to say that Regulus in this one especially, has certainly put everything I couldn’t say into words. (Sirius as well). This one was so so lovely to read.
The love that James has for them just makes that all the better. Def will be one I wish I could read for the first time again. 🫶🏽❤️🩹

Summary
James has always believed it’s better to live in the present than to dwell on the past.
He believes the future is unknown, the past is unchangeable, and the present is how you live—truly, fully, and unabashedly. It’s your foot on the pedal until it hits the floor, but the speed isn’t terrifying.
It’s exhilarating.
For James, it’s that wild, carefree laugh in the passenger seat of his car. It’s lips ghosting over the curve of his ear, and a saccharine voice taunting, I know you can go faster. Is this really all you’ve got for me?
And who could deny them anything? Not James, that’s for damn sure. It’s no wonder he only wants to live in the present when he has this.
Them.
