Jamie stood up and faced him. He looked a little sick, a little afraid, and his jaw was tight. His hands were fidgeting within the pockets of his hoodie.
“I have so many questions,” Roy grunted. “Why aren’t you dressed for training? Why didn’t you wait for me to meet you at yours? Why do you look like someone just ran over your fucking cat?”
“I’m bisexual,” Jamie said.
Roy stared at him. “Okay.”

Summary
They’ve never touched like this, skin against skin, not ever. Fighting and training, yes, colliding and pushing, but never tenderly. It should feel awkward, strange, unfamiliar, but it doesn’t somehow. Jamie exhales against Roy’s neck and it feels like standing close to a fire, the way the heat presses gently like a touch.
“I was afraid,” Roy says into the dark.

Roy wasn't completely oblivious to his feelings for Jamie, he just never considered what circumstances might drag them to the forefront of everything.
